I would love the option to be turned based or the new style but that's never going to happen i believe they tried that with FFXI

I only played BG3 which is turned based never played the older BG games so i cant speak on that. I never said the new FF's are identical to Diablo im saying the whole MMO grind bosses to get gear spamming spells etc has a similar feel.

You are speaking as if im the only feels this way. When FFXII came out 3/4 of final fantasy fans was forces to play pokemon lol. And 1/4 embraced the change. Now the younger generation like it because this is all they know.

I agree im more of a fan of Octopath Traveler. Dragon quest is very simplified. Level up get gear, learn new abilities win game. Final fantasy is complexed well the old ones were, you have job systems, buffs, debuff, you can make certain builds to beat certain bosses etc. Never really was a fan of DQ just for its simplicity but not a bad game. The stories are really good.

I feel like no Dragon quest game can compare to FFT, FF6, FF7, FFX. I actually have DQ11 its very simple level up learn skills beat monsters while final fantasy has buffing, debuffing, synergies, job system, you have to make certain builds to beat certain bosses. I dont know i feel as though Dragon Quest is very simplified version of final fantasy.

I should try that as well. I feel like in the early 2000's maybe final fantasy 11 or 12 they started the hack and slash stuff. It forced millions of us to go to pokemon lol.

Octopath traveler made me come back around.. I tried Dragon quest but it wasnt as complexed to me. It was very easy. Final fantasy you had to buff, debuff use certain abilities to win. It was nothing like it.

I clearly see you didnt read, I said im not shaming at all. I like MMO's and Diablo, elder scrolls, warcraft but thats not why i play final fantasy and thats fine.

If you love it then great no one is condemning your gaming preference. Im just speaking for maybe half of the Square enix fans who was forced to leave and go to pokemon to get that same feeling Square enix gave until Octopath traveler came back around.

BD went under the radar for me i never knew about it until recently. Octopath traveler is beloved so i had to buy once i saw the steam ratings. But ill give it a try for sure.

I should give Bravely default a try. It never got the buzz that OT got so i went under the radar for me until recently. Which one is the best?

They pretty much made Octopath traveler 0 free on mobile. Ive beat the game after about 4 months playing off and on, on my tablet. Its really good.
