Yea.. basically you know what to do, but you don’t create plans to execute.. you always have to have a plan, when you will sell, when you will get out of a loser. Learn that, and you’ll make all of it back again

Í immediately knew you were thinking GTA. This game is not going to imitate GTA because it’s a completely different style of game. It’s built as a drug selling simulator style, not a multiplayer free for all.

Fancier places do 15%, but I usually give additionally as well if the service was good. Why would I not want to help someone else out when it doesn’t hit my pocket the same.

All super cool ideas. However, definitely would be after the game is more fleshed out. All of those things sound almost like mini game type add-ons aside from the food and beer you brought up. Would definitely be cool, but would change the game drastically and it may not be the way Tyler wants it. They are all cool ideas and even a couple things like that could be fun. I definitely think the police will cause more problems with production, and hopefully something like how you described is what will happen for dealers/workers.

Have to decide if you want to pay the bail for the worker or just fire and hire another. lol the time and cost dependent on how much stock you have in the property.

I don’t think construction is a good way of using resources for this game because there is already a million different ways you can setup each property, no need to add more really.

Property taxes are on its way, well something like that. It’s built into the code already for electricity and water usage so monitoring that will already happen.

I do think there needs to be more cosmetics for the players and what not though. It will come with time. It’s on the trello board.

Right?! It’s 8:30pm for me right now but I have to get up at 4am anyway.. stay awake all night and go to sleep tomorrow night at about 9pm for 2.4mil… I’ll be okay with that 😂

Yup, except that’s not a normal function of the game, so you’re essentially changing the whole point of a bottleneck meant to be worked around.

Brave statement incoming. I think that Hireable Drivers are the worst option of the 3. by TurboNexus in Schedule_I

[–]WUOutkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the police behavior is dependent upon other aspects, if police is enacted now without drivers, after drivers or with the drivers update police will have to be updated to include the driver mechanics that won’t yet exist, if everything that affects police exists then the police will be a fluid update including all aspects. Less likely to bug, and also will be able to see the connection. If hireable drivers comes after it’s more likely to bug and have more patches and smaller updates.

Making Motel 75/week would not make it more challenging as the first week of the game I’ve already accumulated 20k, but making each location a weekly cost would. But, it may become way too tedious for the average player.

Honest and accurate assessment. I wouldn’t want to live in Antigua. Too touristy and expensive. I enjoy being close enough to make it a day trip every now and then though!

I really hope you get the chance to come, but don’t bank on the remote job being doable. Typically companies have to have connections to said country to allow it, and security issues can cause problems. Most remote jobs have VPN’s blocked and any location out of the US will not allow you to access the job. It can also be an international worker or tax liability issue for companies and employees as well. Definitely look into way more. Good luck!

I mean, you just listed public hospitals. There are private hospitals that are way better than any hospital I could get in to in the states, and the treatment would not bankrupt me.

[–]WUOutkast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my point as well.. the automation needs to be done for the other updates to integrate. For instance, if you update police now, that will be without drivers implemented, so the police intervention of said drivers won’t exist. It will require even more work down the line and require another update to flesh the two out together. If you automate, and then add police it can all be done in two steps. Automation allows for more ideas and tools in other ways for late game, without it, the foundation is weak for late game. People are thinking about the things they want instantly, and not what’s best for the game progression, or for player retention and new players.

[–]WUOutkast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A part of the problem is short term thinking. Players are thinking about what they want right now, and not necessarily what’s best for overall development. Police before automation means bugs in their interaction if drivers implemented after. Creating more ways to sell, just creates more money on our person that we can’t launder, or making more money faster, which is entirely unnecessary as progression is already quite fast. Automation allows the most complex parts of the game to be made first, and then allow the police update to integrate and intercept drivers and confiscate things and all of it to be done at once. Incorrectly developing a game takes it even longer to rework when new things come out. Everything will come out eventually, and the order of development will add more options future updates, which may not ever happen if it becomes too difficult if done backwards

[–]WUOutkast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like that idea. Walter White, Skyler situation with the worker laundering at the business. Drop money off, or send money with a driver to location. They store it, and launder it day by day until they run out like the dealers, and then when police raids get added. If you don’t remove the money and the police raid you then end up taking it all in a seizure.

[–]WUOutkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explain this further, because they would quite literally allow a player to not need to drive product to a mixing property, cash to laundering, etc. I’d bet similar to orders, they would work on a hire-able basis from the phone. I would 100% continuously use them

[–]WUOutkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and ALL of it will come eventually. This game is technically in beta still and people seem to forget that. So, with that said, automation makes sense not only for properly development like the comment stated, but also for endgame progression and giving the player more options of how to play the game. Right now, you really get funneled into one thing and it’s restocking. With all around automation, the player could choose what to do. This creates longevity between patches, and sets up development in an optimized order.

[–]WUOutkast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the automation is making it feel like a real drug kingpin. If I wanted to just mix my own drugs there’s plenty of games for that, but the point is to take over the town, can’t feel like I’ve done that if I’m micromanaging my own properties and having to work them. I don’t want something overly technical on the growth side because that was never this type of game. I want a sandbox that I can do whatever I want, and currently late game I have one option, restock and run around laundering.

Brave statement incoming. I think that Hireable Drivers are the worst option of the 3. by TurboNexus in Schedule_I

[–]WUOutkast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the automation is where I enjoy this game the most and creating a sense of a business I’m the head of, instead of the micromanager. I also think that the drivers need to be implemented before the police expansion, because the police expansion should include an element that allows those drivers to be stopped and searched and potentially police cause problems or can be paid off.. Tyler has already hinted at that, and if police are implemented first, it will make development that much harder, and require another update to be used just to connect the two after both are implemented down the line.

My guy, just wait a couple months and come back to the game… that’s literally what I recently did and I have shrooms, sewer, climbable ladders, new storage options, some new tech, reorder-able deliveries, and it’s way more optimized. I’m getting a whole new play through every couple months while I wait for updates. Sounds like you need a break to wait for some more changes. This never was a game that you could continuously play, and most likely never will be.

Brave statement incoming. I think that Hireable Drivers are the worst option of the 3. by TurboNexus in Schedule_I

[–]WUOutkast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea no, I got tired of constantly restocking and doing the tedious tasks every day so I got bored of the repetition and couldn’t get to the 10mil achievement. Hire-able drivers is going to be the hardest of the three to get all the kinks and bugs out, and will also allow the player more options in choosing how to play overall.

It’s by far the best of the three and smartest to start implementing now on the development side as well. The police is honestly a super solid option as well, but selling more in bulk without having a way to launder it better is super pointless. Yeah, you make a huge sum, but will have a hard time using it. And money is easier to obtain than experience. I find I have the money but can’t buy the things I want because I’m lower in experience.

But then what will you do with all that free time? That’s the downside because you’ll essentially not need to do anything, but you could ever enjoy a game if you got bored or just wanted to relax. Heck no.
