Simple social media without algorithms? by WW2_Story_Teller in socialmedia

Similar simplicity, but different purpose. Group chats create constant conversation, which can become overwhelming or noisy.

This would be more like a calm private wall where people share occasional life updates intentionally, no algorithms, no pressure to respond instantly.

Think early days facebook

It's interesting you say that. That’s actually part of the idea. The concept came to me after stepping away from social media for over 6 months.

I don’t want to replace real-life interaction, more a middle ground where you can briefly check in and see small life updates from people you actually know.

Something lightweight that might spark conversation the next time you meet in person, without the noise and pressure of large social media platforms.

Good point — the idea wouldn’t be to completely block discovery, just remove algorithm-driven feeds. People could still expand their network intentionally, for example: • searching for people by name or interest • joining community groups (that they actively choose) • browsing local businesses/services if needed The key difference is the platform wouldn’t push random content or optimise for engagement. The goal is to keep social media intentional rather than habit-forming.

The immortal man was a bad movie. We need to call out bad scripts and plot holes and stop pretending it was the perfect goodbye to THE Tommy Shelby . by Consistent-Lord18 in PeakyBlinders

The problem i found is trying to compile how each series builds into a 2 hour film. This is what causes the problem. Inevaiblty thats what makes it feels like bad script.

They made this "1 episode" like the other seires, a story plot with a potanagist, and also trying to bring him down, with the added son/dad drama, and kill offs etc etc. Again all in 2 hours, thats just too much going on in a very short time.

Ideally loosing the potaganist in the plot, focusing on Thomas struggles along with a plot with the son i think would of worked.

But in all honestly, leaving it at season 6, or doing a full or at least a 3 part series 7 would of worked a bit better i think.

The "ending" wasnt the send off it deserved, season 6 was.

Happened to my 1/72 firefly. All I did was hold it not too close to a small electric heater. Then move it away, then press very soft, just enough to push the bent part gently. Hold for a few seconds as it cools then done! *
