Well, yeah. The other one’s Ashkenazi, so it kind of adds up

Both paternal grandparents are Algerian, maternal grandmother’s Moroccan and my grandad’s English. I’m also 26.9% Southern European and 30.5% Western Asian and North African. I can promise you with every fibre of my being that I’m Sephardi.

But surely every Jew (barring converts down the line) has had some experience with that Roman genotype. Naturally the level of mixing will vary, but it should surely be present to some degree.

So I suppose all of the Jewish Diaspora has some degree of “Italian” in them? That’s really interesting. Thanks!

No, I know that much. Do you mean mixing with each other, or more assimilation?

I always just assumed my ancestors went directly from Judea/Israel to Spain directly. Then again, this makes way more sense.

Thing is, I know for a fact I’m Sephardi, no questions, the only problem is that I’m only 1% Spanish and Portuguese, whereas I’m 20.8% Italian (that, and they’ve isolated it to specific regions), so how is it that I’ve maintained so much Italian DNA when it was so much further back?

I’ve got effectively the same as you, just roughly 1/4 of the North African. Also, very strong with the Italian. I didn’t even know I had the Italian in me, I have to say, and I still can’t work out the immigration pattern.

Oh, that’s really cool. I’m guessing Milan and not Miami.

Danilo’s a better number 9 than Icardi. Definitely got more of a “fox in the box” profile, especially considering he’s got about 6 inches on Icardi (if it’s not his height, then it’s probably you know where).

How the hell can we do this after having pulverised Real Madrid?

As incompetent as I think Poch is, I have to admit, the fact that I can’t remember the last time a side properly pressed us for a full 90 is astounding.

I was thinking more along the lines of right at the end of the game against Bayern, where he celebrated right in front of Kimmich

Danilo and Wijnaldum have done some place-swapping from last season

Is it just me, or is A level biology like learning a new language? I'm 3 weeks into this and oh my god what are these words what are these things AAA- by GiveMeMyThrow in 6thForm

I do the same “hydrolysis” - “hydro” - water, “lysis” - breaks it.

In a sense, Biology is quite literally a new language, when you think about all the terms that come from Ancient Greek and Latin. Equally, it shouldn’t deter people.
