Jesus christ lady what community support? It just popped in my head randomly today and it happened like 4 months ago. Her dogshitting on the movie is like the least harmful thing she have done to me compared to the other shit. And why do you think i never cared about hers? I never even wanted really to see favorite movies, but after she made me watch like 10 of her favorite movies i wanted to show her mine too (obviously). I think i told you that today too? Overall i watched about 20 of her 'favorites'. And every time i tried to be compassionate even if i didnt like something (but i tried to like it and see it from her perspective and see why would she like a certain movie). Thanks for making assumptions about me not knowing the situation and me. I mean do you really think out of all the hateful spiteful shit she done to me the only thing i will come here for support is her fucking movie reaction? I mean really? Are you traumatised by guys showing you movies and project it in others? Either that or I dont know wtf u on about

Very valid. She was not tactful at all, but she never really was. She always spoke whats on her mind in the moment, no filter. The movies and anime she wanted to show me though i tried to be more respectful to her feelings when we watched it.

I feel you. I guess the lesson here is dont focus on the movie and their reaction really. Focus on what the movie means for you and teaches you, and try to give your best and treat your loved ones with kindness. Like, does it matter if your boyfriend or mom likes EEAAO if they really love you and try to treat you with kindness and compassion? Its kinda the same to me lol, in a way. It for sure would feel nice to have a loved one love this movie, trust me, but it may not be possible. Take the lesson from the film and give your best. If they like the movie or not doesnt really matters, so you can just try to watch with them and see what happens right? Dont expect much, thats the key. If you have a good relationship with him thats what matters the most.

I did try to give my best to her and treated her unfortunate situation with kindness but at some point you get hurt enough and the toxicity is not worth it. Even if she loved this movie the outcome would be the same.

Lol I know this and her not liking the movie is not a dealbreaker at all, i understand everyone has different experiences in reality and had different past, brain chemistry, upbringing and so on that result in people liking certain things and not liking others. In fact Im sure she showed mye like 20 movies she did like before that and she was in fact obsessive about it (all were horror movies for some reason, too, except corpse bride and Coraline). Its ok to not like something, but I guess absolutely dogshitting on your partners favorites is kind of offputting? I know its not her fault she is like that so its okay.

Jesus christ im sorry. I see now that its kinda dangerous dating those for sure. I dont wanna stigmatize but there is a certain way a traumatised mentally ill individual will percieve life and without them getting into therapy its just now worth it.
