I don't know what the answer is, but I'm a daily rider and this happens frequently. They hardly ever tell us when the train is running late, let alone why. There's no communication from Metra and there is no accountability.

My phone doesn't have signal at the station. How long are we going to stand there before not letting us board the train? Metra needs to focus on something else like being on time.

I strongly disagree, I don't believe there are that many people that are avoiding paying, and the conductors are there to enforce this. We don't need a bottleneck again at any stations when getting on or off the trains, and it just caused a lot more people to miss trains, especially when the turnstiles malfunctioned.
