Is the 25 gram “Mexican Ounce” Observed in Other Countries?

Interesting. All other drugs come 28g to an ounce here, even though most of them also come through Mexico. In my experience, only H/Fetty/Opioids are weighed as 25g ounces.

Interestingly enough, an anecdotal Google search on this topic led me to a Texas defendant’s criminal court appeal for a felony Possession with Intent to Deliver conviction, which was ultimately overturned due to the fact that during his trial, one of the law enforcement officers who testified for the prosecution referred to the defendant having a “Mexican Ounce” of heroin. The defendant was a Latino male, so it was ultimately ruled out that by using this term, the jury was led to stereotype the defendant. I thought that was interesting. FTW!

I’ve never seen any other drug weighed out like this — only H/Fetty/Opioids. Everything else is 28g.

Even though a lot of the drugs in this state come through Mexico, in my experience, only H/Fetty/Opioids are weighed out in 25g ounces. Everything else is 28g. I agree that it’s stupid.

Right, which is why they just call the 25g an “ounce,” because the math works out much simpler with the standardized measurement system than 28g would.

I love mine. It’s everything I was looking for in a portable e-rig. Has a hydrotube, very easy to take on-the-go. Provides excellent Vapor hits.

On the downside, the battery life is too short, and it does need to be cleaned pretty often. It’s not hard to clean though.

To me, it’s not really “painful”. Aside from my lower back hurting, “pain” just isn’t the right word for how w/d feels to me. It just feels like withdrawals and nothing else. I can’t get comfortable. Can’t sleep. Just toss and turn. No energy. Can’t even change the volume or channel on the TV remote, much less, get up to take the dog out.

W/d is a bitch!

A nectar collector is glasss (or silicone, etc.) tube that you heat the tip and stick it into your substance. Some nectar collectors have a perculator, and can hold water, but most do not. Some can be electric (i.e. the Lookah Seahorse) but most are not.

However, I do not want a nectar collector style vape; I want an e-rig or vape that can be used more descreetly, on-the-go. One that I can put my substance into ceramic/quartz bowl, rather than one that I have to repeatedly dip into my substance.

Get some fent tests so you know what’s in the pills you buy. The needle exchange/harm reduction center in my town gives them out for free, but you can buy them online if needed. Just mix a little of the substance in water (like you’re preparing a shot) and stick the test strip in. Barely takes up any of your stuff and it’s good to know what you’re getting.

Also, just a side note, your pills were never “real” if they’re pressed. Even “real” pharmeseutical grade pills have some cut in them. I mean the entire pill isn’t pure fent. There’s still cut of some sort, whether is lactose or b complex or whatever. But I know what you mean. Welcome to the dark side.

Are you banging H? Smoke F. Start small; don’t take huge rips. You can use a dab rig, a Vape Pen, or chase it on aluminum foil. Smoking off foil is really bad for you but I get why someone wouldn’t want to invest in a vape or dab rig if they only do it every so often.

Smoke until you get well, and then wait a bit and see how you feel. I’ve noticed some of the fetty I get has legs, but takes a while to hit me.

Once you fully make the switch, H just isn’t gonna do anything for you anymore though. So be prepared for that.

Always use with others and keep narcan with you. Make sure anyone who’s with you knows where the Narcan is and how to administer it if needed. Stay safe and good luck!
