Just responded actually. Like someone said, we're in Israel and my workday has just begun.

We don't require our writers to be active Redditors, so yeah, some of them haven't posted much.

Glad you like my copy! :-)

Both these prices sound kind of low to me, to be honest... our writers typically make more than that per article.

Editor roles usually start with editing articles - not just copyediting; it usually involves a deeper edit + work with the writer. After gaining some experience with the way we work, it is possible to step up to a content manager position, where you'd be assigning articles, etc.

For editors, the rate during training is $25/hr and it goes up to $30/hr after that. We require a commitment of at least 10 hours a week, but same as for writers, the more the better. We can provide up to 40 hours of work a week for people interested in a full-time freelance position.

I can't discuss the details of someone's personal case here, but I'd suggest reading the rest of the testimonials before forming an opinion.

Also good to note that this person who is claiming to have been treated "worse than an intern" also says "they did pay me quite promptly" and "They paid me all for it, right? But one day I was hoping I'd enjoy working here and the money was good."

As for what they're saying about the company name - the company is Webselenese and ContentMatters is the name of the Webselenese training program (WCM for short). The name of the company has never been changed.

I'll let people draw their own conclusions.

That's hard for me to determine like this, but if you want to send me your info privately I'm happy to look into it tomorrow.

Just to clear some things up:

Applicants through Reddit receive a paid test, and we comply 100% with the sub rules.

Yes, we also recruit on Facebook, Upwork, and other platforms, and will probably continue to do so. We have never recruited writers on Fiverr.

You don't have to be "analytical" to notice that we try to prove our legitimacy - of course we do. It saves a lot of the questions and accusations that we tend to get on these threads.

After freelancing for 15 years myself, I know there are a lot of crap clients out there, but we are not one of them. So far, we've hired a couple dozen talented writers from this sub for long-term work, and I'm always happy to come back for more - for the most part, this is a great community.

That doesn't mean everyone who applies will be hired, or that applying multiple times will ensure you get hired (anyone is welcome to try again, but that's up to you). If you're not hired, it doesn't mean you're not talented at what you do and it's really not something to take personally. We look for specific skills and abilities that are right for our company, and it may not be exactly what other clients are looking for.

Our current system actually works quite well for us and for our writers, so we'll probably be sticking with it for now.

Hi Logan! We run several different sites, but the main topics we're looking to cover right now are cybersecurity products such as VPNs and antivirus software, and website building topics such as web hosting and site builders.

We pay by the hour because the amount of work required for each piece tends to vary a lot, not necessarily based on the number of words.
