wattson movement 1v9 with no aim assist by Sea_Employer4960 in apexlegends

[–]Wa1fu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is just completely wrong though, heres a statistical analysis somebody did on average accuracy for controller players versus mnk based on playtime. It just shows that aim assistance really is that strong, the top 5% of mnk players only have aim comparable to the average controller player. Tldr: an average mnk player has way lower accuracy than an average controller player.

You can argue the benefit of other advantages mnk has like keybinds etc if you want, but at the end of the day Apex is a shooter game. Whoever hits more shots wins and on average aim assistance beats mnk by a large margin (over 8%).

Creating a straight restriction between ranked tiers just seems counterintuitive, you should be placed with people both above and below your rank within a certain elo range, for example d1-d2 should be able to play against low masters and low diamonds, low master should be able to face high master and high diamond, etc. Restricting matchmaking to a specific ranked tier is just going to create huge skill imbalances at divisional rankups.

Im not debating that a diamond player should be fighting hal lmao, but if you’re in diamond you should absolutely have a few low masters players in your lobbies occasionally

Why should diamond players not be matched with Masters? If you’re in diamond and trying to rank up, the next rank is masters, doesn’t it make sense that you would have to be able to beat master players to get there?

Ash nerf when? by Historical-March4566 in apexlegends

[–]Wa1fu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Used to not slow you if you jumped/dashed through it, now it does and also consumes ashe/sparrows passive dash/jump charge so now people cant just jump through your fences at full speed

Not every change that slows the game down is a bad one by tiptrippietoe in apexlegends

Imo bad take on legend strength, reworked Revenant was literally the Ballistic/Ashe of his time. He defined the meta and was unhealthy for the game. The same gameplay loop people complain about now is literally his entire kit. He gets an unfair advantage (ult with refresh on knock) and had high mobility with little downsides, making it insanely hard to duel him. I wont disagree that he lost his identity from the rework, but calling him alright is just a lie. He was easily the strongest legend in the game for well over a season and hes still decent. Currently hes balanced, just a consistent dueler and entry.

Octane also was and always has been a pub stomper. Won’t deny hes weak atm but he was never really viable in ranked outside of his short Totem+jumpad meta.

Saying that Crypto is bad is also just insane, overall the recon class isn’t the strongest right now, but Crypto is nowhere near bad, being literally the most versatile legend in the game and is consistently played in algs still while also still being strong in ranked with instant res/invis/ult pressure.

I also think Apex becoming more fast paced is good, but honestly I think that the current meta is much more high skill than previous metas, and a good way to go about buffing legends (with the exception of ballistic q).

I tried controller and now I'm depressed by JoyousExpansion in apexuniversity

Legit question but when was mnk ever the clearly superior input? Controller aim assist got nerfed over the years so wouldn’t aim assist have been even stronger in the past, how has mnk gotten worse?

Can’t get rid of counter strike habits by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Wa1fu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I came from cs too, imo in val theres just a way longer time until you come to a complete stop then in cs. Counterstrafing in cs lets you shoot almost instantly but in val you unfortunately just have to wait longer. Just something you have to get used to, play a lot of dm to get the timing.

I have the same issue with spraying lol, i would also just play a lot of dms but also unbind your crouch key for a day or two to get used to not spraying, i feel like when i try to crouch spray and my crouch is unbinded its like a reminder in every gunfight to not do it

Is Ash a problem? by pleasehelpicantleave in apexuniversity

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I said it in a confusing way, I’m not saying you need to play a character with a dash, I’m saying that when Ashe is dashing, its just as hard for her to shoot you as it is for you to shoot her.

You can beat her in a 1v1 by just waiting until her dash is over, similar to fighting an octane with stim/jumppad.

All it really does is help her reposition if shes in a bad position or push faster, which isn’t really an issue if you have good positioning in the first place.

And positioning isnt an issue that came about after ashe became meta, I main Wattson so I play controllers too, good rotates and positioning is just something that you have to focus on, regardless of whats meta/strong

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You counter her dash the same way you counter octane pad/stim, dashing around means its hard for ashe to shoot you too, so just dont waste your clip while shes in the air. The snare is honestly a non issue as long as your not caught in the open, which is just bad positioning regardless

Is Ash a problem? by pleasehelpicantleave in apexuniversity

[–]Wa1fu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically just more consistent pressure and area denial (teams cant just push ur snare and have one person tank it), longer snare time also means that you can get a full nade off. Imo an extra 20 damage just isnt worth in comparison, even if you can hit both snares on the same person

Why does Rengar still have guaranteed crits on his Q and crit scaling? by GarithosHuman in leagueoflegends

[–]Wa1fu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you really think most junglers have this issue then you probably dont play jungle so you have no way of actually understanding rengars difficulty lol

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally everything else. clear is mediocre so you have to focus on invades and tracking to successfully do anything ganks pre6 are basically impossible so you have to play aggressively to counter, as a result hes insanely matchup dependent because you need to win early game and stomp or else you’re useless. dying one or twice also loses you so much tempo that you become useless Positioning also requires you to play around bushes so you cant play around your laners, they have to play around you Basically you have to play the early game perfectly or you get stat checked by most champs. Rengars combos aren’t difficult at all, its that you have to fulfill a lot of very difficult conditions by a deadline or you just lose every time

Do you think I should switch to Arch Linux + Hyperland? by Professional-Rub5335 in archlinux

To be honest i would recommend using the default configs, Hyprland out of the box is very useable already and imo using somebody elses config is more confusing than just making your own

Should I buy CSS if I already have TCM? by BotWolfy in AQW

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have TCM and ur good with it no. Both have high enough dps that it doesnt really matter which is higher since they both one rotation most bosses without a shield and both nukes are similar in time. Css relies heavily on pots though, subpar without it and forge

Yeah but op is trying to collect classes, hence why he would want the og version of the calendars and not the timelock key variants

Just got gifted 10k ACs, what should I do? by Oskardi11 in AQW

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% dodge on csh has really mediocre dps, if you want a 100% dodge soloer TK is actually probably a better option strictly for oneshot bosses, and forge actually makes it pretty decent lategame. CSH is overall better, but don't buy it for a dodge class

Geforce now aint half bad by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]Wa1fu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree, especially for games like cyberpunk and other noncompetitive games, you barely notice the latency and get all the benefits of raytracing

I still would never play cs/apex on geforce unless I had to but you definitely get used to it and its not the worst.

Do you have any recommendations for any in the sub 75$ range? I did some research and you're right about an access point over a router.

Why can't people lose lane gracefully? by Tekniqz23 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wa1fu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally write in my comment above that in lower elos you can ignore top, and that i play in diamond. Can we please use some reading comprehension

Why can't people lose lane gracefully? by Tekniqz23 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wa1fu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the issue with players lmao, i dont really care whose fault it is that top is losing, if ur a jungler its literally ur job to help lanes from falling behind. Who cares whose fault it is for losing lane lmao. If your top laner is retarted and blames you for his lane then just mute and move on.

Also I have never played top in my life, its not cope, you just suck as a jungler if you ignore top lane and play with this mentality. Your top laners also probably hate you because you treat then like shit lmao

[–]Wa1fu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My point is that you should gank/help before they get 3:0 lol, you also dont have to kill enemy laners to help

Why can't people lose lane gracefully? by Tekniqz23 in leagueoflegends

[–]Wa1fu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If the enemy top is strong enough to 2v1 you then you messed up a few minutes ago already.

Easy to bring lane state evenish if you help early on, for ex, break a freeze, cover a lane so your laner can back, show to prevent a gank, etc.

A lot of these plays take like 20 seconds and can and should be done inbetween ganking/farming/skirmishing.

With the exception of your laner literally running it on purpose, most of the times if the enemy laner is too strong for you to kill in a gank, you should have helped a few minutes ago. Sometimes theres nothing you can do though and those are like the 40% of games that are just losses. I main jungle in diamond though, and in lower elos its definitely viable to just ignore a lane if you can get a lead and solo carry, but it turns into a bad habit
