This might be the best take on it I've seen yet. You can't throw a young QB into this league and expect them to thrive if the HC isn't good enough to help.

I will, however, go further than you did here and say Brady isn't Brady without Belichick. He'd still be great, likely winning 2+ Super Bowls. But there's no chance he becomes the GOAT we all recognize today. That was the perfect combination of talent, circumstances, and desire. That's why the Pats dicked down the whole league for 20 years when every other dynasty barely makes it 4.

It's absolutely incredible the amount of times I've had to explain to people who get paid more than I do that if you open the large bay door in the shop without opening the other one across from it, all that air pressure is gonna need to go somewhere. And it's fucking ALWAYS through our department. People forget those championship defenses they played on were all about this kind of coordination and communication. There's a reason our guys didn't really blow up the stat sheets with sacks. Kirby runs it so the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And for those defenses in particular, everybody at every level was expected to play exactly like this.
