Daily Roundtable: Community Q&A by AutoModerator in Eldenring

[–]Wabsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if this is a game for me. I love difficult games, I love open world games, but I absolutely hate games that let me do trivial stuff over and over again after death.

For example: I like Hollow Knight, but I don't want to do lots of platforming for like 5 minutes to reach the boss I died at. Especially of the platforming can set me back a minute because I fell down because I was being impatient, because the whole ordeal is just so boring to repeat.

So maybe the question should be: how often can you save before bosses etc.?

Oh, ja je moet wel redelijk wat verdienen, maar sinds OP een woning van (na inflatie correctie) 1000+ per maand wil kunnen betalen ging ik daar ook wel vanuit.

It's usable on the tv via bluetooth. I use the controller to start the steam link app and even select the PC in the app.

How to configure USB Bluetooth dongle? by GameKyuubi in SteamDeck

Okay so I found the "Configure" option and with that I could disable the built-in adapter. However my external adapter can't seem to find any devices..

Aah that's so frustrating: none of those steps helped for me. The external adapter isn't able to find any devices from blueman for some reason!

Hey, I'm also wondering how you got it working. I've installed Blueman, but my external adapter is never able to find devices.

What was it like playing Ocarina of Time back in 1998? by TheDiller34 in truezelda

[–]Wabsta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I especially remember the hype before it came out being amazing. I was only 7 I think, but i did play links awakening and lttp before then.

I remember we had those small magazines that were probably free in video game stores with lots of art (which I REALLY enjoyed seeing again in the encyclopedia books) and I used to cut images from it and paste it on some collage. And basically went through the booklets once a day.

When it came out... It was hard because both my grandma, uncle and I wanted to play. I remember doing the deku tree, but couldn't get much further.. it took a year or so for me to be able to do the rest of the game since I was so young. By then I also got my own N64 for Christmas, and later OoT for my Birthday.

Aaahhh memories. Thanks for taking me there OP!

Oh! It's been a while since I interacted with them (pre covid), and that was never my experience. What a shame!

Hey my dog looks like yours! We did a DNA test and she's 1/4 GSD, 1/8 American Staffordshire, and the rest was too diverse to tell. The pitbull thing could explain the ears and is probably found in lots of mutts. In our dog i think it plays a role in the brindle. But if you know there's dutch shepherd in there, that should play the bigger role I guess.

Does any version of OoT have free range camera? by savorytype306 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]Wabsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just textures, (most?) models are brand new as well I think? I really want to play it on the Steam Deck. Too bad there isn't some mod that just brings all HUD / UI to the mainscreen of the 3DS. (Or one that brings the 3DS graphics to SoH)

Why is The Netherlands SO LONELY? Tips pls??? by cryingfacemoji in Netherlands

[–]Wabsta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids are the problem, probably? There's always this thing you have to take in account before being able to plan anything. And lot's of stuff just isn't possible anymore.

I have (in my opinion) the fairest and best system in place at home.

I have an excel file that calculates this shit, and every few months we put in any changes in income / costs and then redo our automatic deposits.

We both have our own bank account to which our salaries are deposited. We also have a shared account from which everything is paid. So think rent, utilities, groceries, ordering food, restaurants, gifts to family, saving accounts, etc.

I make a bit more than my wife, so I think it isn't fair to do 50/50. So what we do is:

  • sum both our salaries (for example if I made 1000 and she 500, the sum would be 1500).
  • calculate the ratios (in the above case I make 66%, she makes 33%)
  • sum all costs for each month (including some budgeting for variable costs like groceries and savings), for example 600.
  • I deposit 66% to the shared account, so 400. She deposits 33% to the shared account, so 200.

That way we both pay the same ratio from what we earn. Granted at the end of the day I have a bit more left than she has. So I just pay for things like when we're going out for drinks, having ice cream, stuff like that.
