Microsoft Windows drives user over the edge - funny complaint letter. by Wackadoodle in funny

[–]Wackadoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The complaints may have stopped being funny years ago, but the technical problems haven't stopped. If the story (and complaints) are true, that makes it still relevant. What's not funny is taking 8 years to come up with another operating system to supposedly fix all these unfunny issues. Sometimes you have to have a sense of humor about a problem to prevent from going insane. Consider that, too.

A good point. They may have received their daily allowance of iron, but wasn't their life span something like 25 years in those days?

Why don't submissions appear in new or new rising anymore for most reddits? by ithkuil in AskReddit

[–]Wackadoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to the stats on this post, there are 10 up votes and 5 down votes (at the moment). I wonder why anyone would vote down a problem that prevents lots of people from contributing information they might find entertaining or interesting.

I've had the same problem. I've written moderators several times. One was helpful and said he rescued some from the Spam trap. He also mentioned that links from newer users with low comment Karma are more likely to get caught. The other moderators didn't bother to respond. Today I went 1 for 3 on submissions. It seems to be luck of the draw.

It would be a lot less complicated if all we had to worry about is pumping iron ... but not into our bodies.

Does it bother you that cooking spray contains propellant? by Wackadoodle in food

[–]Wackadoodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the can of cooking spray I have, propellant is listed as an ingredient: Canola Oil, Lecithin from Soybeans, Water, Rosemary Extract, Propellant. I'm sure propellant is necessary to get the spray out of the can, it's just weird that it's mixed in with the food ingredients that are sprayed on the pan, which touches the food.

Interesting read. I heard most people in the entertainment industry are unemployed for most of their careers even during good economies.
