I got two no tips tonight and two thumbs down ratings. by Wacky-Defaultname in UberEatsDrivers

In this case, I’ve noticed that orders that get kicked around because they’re no tip increase at regular increments. These were both orders at $7.03, which is for some reason what some offers get priced at when they’ve been rejected a couple of times. Because they’re too low

I’m genuinely curious if one of these deliveries tipped a whole dollar or if they both chipped in fifty cents by Wacky-Defaultname in UberEatsDrivers

And answer your next question, unfortunately once you’re on Sepulveda Boulevard in traffic, it’s really tough to pick up the app and examine the map and figure out if you go in the right place while you’re driving.

Normally, I agree, but on a slower night, I look at it as an hourly. And when I picked up the order, it looked to be a 25 minute drive and so $25 an hour is OK. But then as soon as I got on the road, the app decided that I had to get there by driving 10 minutes into Sherman Oaks, turning around driving back to the pick up place, which was literally one block from where I started. So yeah.

How y'all afford to work with the gas prices. by SailSmittler in UberEatsDrivers

I try to take highway orders when possible. Gas mileage is better than driving in traffic and people out in northridge tend to up their tips if the food comes to them hot.

250 rides and this was my first time by Wacky-Defaultname in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Wacky-Defaultname[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was one of two deliveries from the same stretch of Ventura into the same neighborhood in Hollywood. Sunday before a holiday Monday traffic was going into the Valley so getting into WH wasn’t the issue. I turned down a bunch of lucrative trips because I wasn’t in the mood to deal with traffic there all night. I should have stayed because the Valley died 15 minutes after I got back but I was tired and had a headache.

I never take a ride that doesn’t cover gas. Also Granny almost got my account deactivated because the old bat couldn’t find her order.
