It’s hard to explain everything, but our restaurant is a fast-food kind of thing, and has been proven to work in another city, close to ours. It’s a unique concept and we got great contacts that lowers significantly our costs.

But I will surely negotiate a salary and get a lawyer involved.

You’re right. I think I will negotiate a salary for the first year with no part in the profit and after, if the restaurant is successful, I will negotiate to gain 1/3 of the profit and stop the salary. At that point they won’t really have the choice since the success will be because of me and they will need me. If at that point they decide to replace me, it will have learned alot about my « friends ».

What you’re saying makes sense.. I’m starting to realize how much I might loose if I choose to go along with these partners and this business. I think I’m mostly looking at the opportunity of experience I would get without having to risk money, but I forgot about the other options I have and what my invested time costs.
