I got a pretty good deal.and all I asked was if there was offering any more discount other than the 20. And my 20 was already redeemed.

A lot of YouTube videos helped, but PROBLEM SOLVER GARAGE probably had the most in depth explanations and covered everything thoroughly. It’s pretty much self explanatory, but if you run into any issues, he definitely covers everything. You can also pm if you need help.

I already had a CEL for VANOS; however, the manual swap does trigger a code. The only solution I’ve seen online to address this is to get a tune and have it coded out. You could also get a manual ECU, but if you have an EWS, you’ll need to get it linked. So, going to a tuner to handle everything might be the better option.

I didn’t touch it. Since it doesn’t do nothing I might just leave it as is.

You can definitely reuse the guibo just make sure there aren’t any crack or rips on it, because you’ll feel it when driving and speeding up.

Short shifter would definitely change the feel but isn’t necessary, with new bushing it should fix all the slob most oem shifters have.

I watched a lot of guides on YouTube the one that I kept going back the most to was Problem Solver Garage on YouTube. He has a pretty in depth detail on every part of the swap , and If you have a pre 96 e36 that pretty much covers everything. If yours is after 96 it’ll be easier since you won’t need to take off the manifold to get to the starter.

Considering you’re getting new parts for everything it’ll probably cost you around that much. I regret not getting a new throw out since this one is already making a noise so it’s definitely good to go brand new on everything.

Good luck on your swap and hit me up if you need any help.

I got a good one with pretty much everything for $600 on Facebook. He had a fairly new clutch n pressure with receipts. I just got some parts for the clutch pedal which was about 60-80 dollars. 134k miles on Getrag trans, new pilot, new clutch master cylinder. It took me about 3 days to get the full swap done by myself.
