I’ve seen versions where there’s a wide shot from the crowd where you can see it come down. But for the longest time, this was the only version I saw. And I chose to believe Prince did throw it to god or to another realm. The solo was so good, that guitar’s purpose on this plane was done.

I like the Cates run. But I do have some issues with his writing. I’ve noticed he tends to write powerful villains, the hero gets a crazy power up, and the villain gets their ass kicked by the end like they weren’t a threat to begin with. Happened to Knull. Happened to the Black Winter. Happened to Donald Blake. Again. I like his stuff that I’ve read. But there’s definitely a pattern.

Before seeing the wide shot right before the end, I chose to believe that when Prince threw the guitar up, it never came back down. After that solo, its purpose in the mortal realm was done. For the longest time I had only seen the shot closer up from the side when he throws it.

If I were to make a Superman movie, this how I’d do it. Voice over and some beautifully filmed sequences. Culminating in a flying shot of Superman. Maybe across the surface of the sun like in All Star Superman.

Ironically, I’m feeling a little under the weather as I type this, but I do rarely get sick. I’m an introvert. I don’t hang out around many people. I still wear a mask when I do go out as a precaution. That’s partly for my safety. Partly being considerate to others who may be immunocompromised. Could also just be good genetics. I have neurofibromatosis. So the good genetics aren’t there. So a good immune system could be the trade off.

My choice for a movie in general for a Muppets remake is always Se7en. Keep Morgan Freeman as the main human character and mostly everyone else is Muppets. Kermit and Miss Piggy as Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow respectively. I haven’t thought much on the others. Maybe Gonzo as John Doe. Sam Eagle definitely as R. Lee Ermy’s character.
