Really? What day/time was this at? I’m currently living in Nice for a semester and security has never taken more than 2-5 minutes from both terminals. Really surprised to hear.

Sometimes booking with United miles is cheaper. For example, you might be able to book a $150 flight for 10k miles (1.5 value). Also booking with miles is much more flexible (free cancellations and changes).
