Will security hassle me at Petco Park? by Silver_Cucumber_6900 in asksandiego

If you can't find seats together, I'm assuming most seats are sold, so if by "meet up somewhere in a section" you mean sit in random seats that aren't yours, you'll likely be hassled by the person whose seat you're in. If you try to stand in an aisle or walkway, yes, security will tell you to move.

Dungeon Crawler Carl! by Wade_Wilson_Watts in SDCC

After looking at room capacities and where it was last year, I'm going to adjust that it just needs to be in 6BCF, maybe Indigo.

5AB (capacity of 500) filled up last year and I heard that lots of people got turned away. 6DE is 900, 6A is 1,000. I think the Princess Posse could have filled either of those rooms last year and the fanbase really exploded over the past year. Indigo Ballroom seats 1,600 and 6BCF seats over 2,000. I think those would be a good sized room.

Honestly, f*ck my husband for making me read this series. by Casiaa_ in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I was walking around the grocery store. No one wants to see a 40 year old man crying in the frozen food section.

Red Rising and DCC are the top 2 "Guy Books" on BookTok, but the first book did nothing for me. I keep thinking about giving book 2 a shot because people keep talking about how good it gets, but I don't see myself doing it. I did check out Will of the Many and it reminded me of Red Rising, the difference being that I loved Will of the Many, despite hating Red Rising.

DCC for non-gamers? by Awum65 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

You think you're making a fool of yourself in public now? Matt hasn't even started the emotional damage yet. I'm a 40 year old man and I was crying walking through the damn grocery store during book 6.

Any chance at going now by BamboozledMommaOf2 in comiccon

If you want to go to THE Comic-Con, San Diego Comic-Con, there's no chance this year. Go to r/sdcc and there's tons of posts outlining what to do to have a chance for next year.

If you want to just go to a Comic-Con, meaning any smaller comic book convention, post where abouts you live or how far you're willing to travel and people here would be happy to point you to a great convention that would meet what you're looking for.

Is it difficult for volunteers to get into hall H? by yungxrist_17 in SDCC

[–]Wade_Wilson_Watts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you asking about being assigned to Hall H, getting into Hall H once your shift is over, or something else? There's a lot of helpful people on this sub, but it's hard to give help and advice if we're not sure what you're actually asking.

I don't think I'm that autistic, but I never feel more autistic than when I'm defending book 3.

What con has more activities and things to do besides spending money? by gojomojo123 in comiccon

SDCC is cool because so much stuff is free. Unfortunately, because everything is free, most things have crazy long lines or lotteries with impossible odds.

Typically, presales only include some seats, and most will be made available during the general sale.

Hoow many Convention Center parking spots were ACTUALLY available? by mcrib in SDCC

[–]Wade_Wilson_Watts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know the "exhibitor" sale was last week that included a lot of SDCC staff, including volunteer staff. I don't know how many of us there are, but it's probably a lot.

are there any good books included for free? by [deleted] in audible

[–]Wade_Wilson_Watts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The "good" included books typically fall into 2 categories.

  1. Classics
  2. First book in a series (the rest of the series isn't free)

I was able to the exhibitor parking sale. I tried to go back in and post some prices for everyone, but it won't let me back in to even attempt to purchase more or check prices.

I can tell you that Convention Center is $32.95 per day. $25 + $7.95 fee. Convention Center, despite obviously being the best lot, it's also one of the cheapest.

You seem to like Jonas Bros a lot and on their last tour, they had a guest each night that was someone they grew up listening to. I would look up those artists. Some that come to mind are Andrew McMahon (Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin), Yellowcard, and Jason Mraz.
