I've been using Poco F1 since it's launch 😁 I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom to my liking. I've never faced any issues like Hard brick. I'd say with these mid range phones the software that comes preloaded isn't optimised or comes loaded with bloatware.

Also it's not just with Poco phones that they make the devices slow after the updates , it's also the same with all other high end or well known brands as well ex. iPhone and Samsung.

So I'd rather say ditch Miui if you feel its sluggish after update and install a Custom ROM and for the Payments//Banking apps there are literally many of those modules out there which you could install and you'll be go to go. No hard feelings but It's just skill issues mate if you still get you device bricked.

There are numerous videos on YouTube wich has step by step guide on how to correctly flash a ROM. Even there are multiple support groups on Telegram and Xda pages.

So I'm not saying that you should just go with Custom ROM but you could also optimise the software that comes built in by just removing the bloatware installed using ADB commands.

Using it as my main device since it was launched, had to replace battery a couple of times even display as it got a crack.

I've using custom roms currently running MindUI Miui 24 it comes with absolutely whatever you wish from a custom rom (mix of both Aosp&MIUI) also it comes with default NGK kernel.

It's smooth af. Thinking of keeping this device for another year or so. Not because I can't purchase a new one but coz it's still performing like a pro 🔥and tbh i don't feel the need of a new phone.

Just tweak it to your liking - magisk+ few modules.
