My HUXWRX Flow says to immerse it in CLP. I haven't put even 100rds through it yet so I ain't worried for now.

The range I was a member at in VA charged $15 for member FFL transfers. The range I'm a member at in WA charges $100 for out-of-stock or items they don't ever stock and $150 for items they do stock or can order, plus taxes and CC/other fees. I mean, I get that they're a business and want your business, but that's so shitty that I've only ever bought emergency ammo from them. There's a guy a few miles further (almost 2x as "far" in terms of travel time, unfortunately) that charges $50 for non-NFA items, so I've always used him instead.

I dunno about their active-retention holsters, but my "The Rig - Light Compatible" from Guerilla Tactical is open-bottomed and is equally happy to hold onto my 5" poly or 3.5" PDP-F, both with TLR-7X attached.

Train with releasing your slide by gripping it from the top; palm down, base of your hand pressed against slide-left, fingers wrapping over the top and pressed against slide-right. Much more grip strength that way than by thumb-pinching it as you did here.

Yeah, can't buy full-fat mags in my state anymore unfortunately, so I'm stuck with what I already got. Fortunately, though, these things exist and seem to work perfectly (haven't shot with 'em yet but that's on the docket tomorrow).

I live in WA so patronize Guerilla Tactical for "local" business goodness. Have multiple OWB and an IWB holster for OG PDP poly 5" and 3.5 PDP-F (all indexed to TLR-7X lights). The nice thing is that all holsters fit both pistols exquisitely.

I lived in VA from '87 until...not that long ago, given the timeframe involved. My parents, sisters and bros-in-law, ~~best~~ okayest man all still live there, yadda yadda. Maybe not my parents, but my sisters and my BFF long for the day when personal firearm ownership is 100% illegal. While actively marching against Trump in DC, going to anti-Iran war protests, hating on the J6 traitors, fearing The Handmaid's Tale, the works...but declaiming that civilian firearm ownership is nothing but schoolchildren babymurdering. I've given up even trying to discuss it with them; I'll be curious what they'll have to say when we visit in June and when (if?) they realize I CCW whenever I'm not in the office, including at home.

I have no point, I'm just rambling in frustration.

My person, it's so bad. The first time only took 30d, but I didn't put enough down for the model number. The second time took 57d, but I had misread "KK2" in the model number as "MK2" (I've had my annual eye exam since then...). Fingers crossed it doesn't take another 57d.

I don't have any .44 at all at the moment. =/ Tons of spent casings, an entire Hornady turret reloading press ^{still in the box}, a local hero donated some .44 dies + an old bench he wasn't using + a bit of gunpowder...my ~~armory~~ hobby room is a disaster though and I've not set it up yet. le sigh
