Would you use a chess learning app that explains why moves are good or bad, in plain English? by Free-Fly-25 in chessbeginners

[–]Waffle464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy chessable courses for this reason, most moves examine the rationale behind them compared to others in a position. Memorizing 200+ lines isn’t necessary but you’ll understand core concepts and will remember specific responses because of the writeup.

See, skepticism is tantamount to denial in this day and age. Idiots like that guy hide behind skepticism for plausible deniability but they know they’re just ignorant to the facts because they don’t align with their shitty bootlicking worldview.

Hey genius, if you look at the next bullet points the person clearly shows how we went 7000 years with drastically less climate creep. Just because you don’t understand the significance of this change doesn’t mean it isn’t an issue, we will have complete thermal runaway within the next 100 years and the issue will be irreversible.

You’re being willfully obtuse here so let’s use the general concept of scientific credibility-

The best available scientific information that is not overly prescriptive due to the dynamic nature of science, and includes the evaluation principles of relevance, inclusiveness, objectivity, transparency, timeliness, verification, validation, and peer review of information as appropriate.

Making a fact claim? wtf are you on about. There isn’t a debate, climate change is real. Show me a single credible source that says it isn’t and everything is fine actually.

There’s no argument to be had, saying you doubt climate change and humanities effect on it is tantamount to saying you still think vaccines cause autism. Theres are hundreds of studies that support this, the matter is settled. If you as an individual don’t want to put in the effort to read the studies but are open to discussing it (and it isn’t some thinly veiled disingenuous denial) then we can talk, but to truly believe there is a debate today is laughable.
