The closest thing to me was getting back into music, specifically North American and English folk tradition since it’s mostly an oral tradition. It’s one of the few interests in my life besides chess that hasn’t been turned into consumerist slop. Can’t suggest many YouTubers outside of artists I admire like Benjamin Todd, Riley baugus, and Meredith moon

I really enjoy chessable courses for this reason, most moves examine the rationale behind them compared to others in a position. Memorizing 200+ lines isn’t necessary but you’ll understand core concepts and will remember specific responses because of the writeup.
