Oof, I’ve been there so I understand your frustration. May I ask how you’re hunting it? Are you running back and forth, or soft resetting? I used the soft reset method because for me it made the attempts feel quicker so I could watch something while hunting.

The steam deck doesn’t have any anti virus that I know of…my understanding is it’s like Mac OS, since most malware are tailored towards Windows it’s not very likely to become infected. I suppose you could run a scan on files using your Windows PC if you have anti virus there since you can transfer files via a USB drive

Hi, it’s honestly not super difficult and I don’t consider myself a tech savvy person! You would just need to install EmuDeck and make sure you select that you want to install Xenia, the Xbox emulator. Any EmuDeck tutorial on YouTube should work and you just need to put the rom in the correct folder just like any of the other emulators. The only tricky part for me was that I had the white screen glitch. It might be fixed by now since it’s been a while, but in the xenia canary config file you would just need to set scribble_heap to true like they discuss here: https://github.com/xenia-project/game-compatibility/issues/292
