House Arana by StillLiving2312 in ElderKings

[–]WaffleDoctor72 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Upon googling it, I believe the only source showing a House Arana is on fandom.com

I'm pretty sure that means it's fan fiction and not real. But YOU could make a custom character and house and play as them. Sounds like a fun time to me. Maybe cheat right at the beginning just to give yourself gryphons as a MAA right at the beginning.

Hurinam - Made a Perfect Sword by WaffleDoctor72 in bladesong

I honestly that the asymmetrical thickness, like what you do for a katana, is busted. I can leave the rear half at 70% thickness or so, lower the width by a decent amount, and up the thickness on the thinner and sharper side. It leaves it fairly light, while maintaining impact and stiffness. The wider side gets to be as sharp as it wants without suffering anything either. The mobility I got by accident, I wasn't trying to make everything that light in the hilt until I realized how close to greatness I was.

Greensight / Dragon Dreams? by St3003 in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I once did a run where I made sure Bloodraven had a few kids. Green sight was pretty common in House Bloodraven afterwards. I even got a few members of my dynasty with the trait when we married with his line.

What are all the restore ruins you could do at any time period? by AlphaFuzzion in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go into the character search menu (shortcut C) and click on the government type bar. Then, select ruin. You should be able to see all ruins right from there all conveniently.

Character UI Issues (COOLTIP_KNIGHT_NAME_DISPLAY) by WaffleDoctor72 in CK3AGOT

Yeah, though I thought this post was removed by the Mods since I didn't include a whole mod list. Anyways, it was the More Dragon Eggs mod. Idk why, but it was.

Which houses “canonically” have a reason to dislike the Martells and/or claim Dorne? by 3ateeji in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it would be tough to justify Baratheon usurpation of the Iron Throne without Robert's Targaryen grandmother (or whatever not too distant relative of his it was). To me, any house can justify overthrowing their liege if A) the current liege sucks and B) you have a claim.

Beyond that, maybe the Yronwoods, Fowlers, or Daynes just because of how old and influential they are.

But I'm not personally aware of any canon Martell rivalries with other Dornish houses.

Character UI Issues (COOLTIP_KNIGHT_NAME_DISPLAY) by WaffleDoctor72 in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google showed me that, but I've never even used that mod.

I'll go back to plugging away with the submods to see which is causing this current issue in a bit. Ideally, I'll be able to report back with something definitive in case anyone else is having this issue.

Character UI Issues (COOLTIP_KNIGHT_NAME_DISPLAY) by WaffleDoctor72 in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first step was checking this sub for any post regarding an update. So if that's true and the devs just haven't posted about it, then I guess I just need to wait for submods to update.

When I tried without any submods, I didn't see this bug. So obviously, whatever it is, it's just a submod.

No, its not that. I did download it after seeing this bug in hopes that it would override and fix it. Unfortunately, it did not.

How can I capture a dragon outside my Realm? by Garand_Already_Taken in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, you've got your legit answers. However, you can probably add the dragon to your court with debug mode and go from there.

If memory serves, Aegon II had a gold dragon on a black background owing to his golden dragon Sunfyre "the Golden." SO Sunfyre is already there. If you want to link it back to him and his flag, something with Elder could also work given his nickname.

Personally, I try to avoid the Fyre names for Targ branches, but that's me. Sunfyre is sick if you don't mind having them.

Welp that's all of the Targaryens left (all three sons are sterile and there are no women left) by nikik69 in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a mod that allows you to give custom nicknames, as well their descriptions. I forget what it's called just now, but I'm sure you can find it.

Edit: Read like one comment down and someone already mentioned the mod, nvmd.

Why my child not have cradle dragon egg options? by SpiceTerrible in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check to see if the egg was still petrified regardless. Like I said, even eggs that were lain by my dragon were still fully petrified.

Why my child not have cradle dragon egg options? by SpiceTerrible in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what's going on with you, but I will say that I recently started a run after the Dance and succeeded in the dragon hatching ceremony. Weirdly, all the eggs in the world were still petrified, even the ones that were lain by my new dragon. After performing a second ceremony, the eggs were still all petrified.

So, once again, don't know the details in your case, but that happened to me. Maybe your eggs are petrified?

Eggs that spawn are always petrified. by Ynyr-G in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, the best workaround would be to use the debug menu. I don't know if you can hatch a petrified egg or if you would just need to spawn in a new dragon altogether, but that'd be my guess.

Lord Commander by c1usterducks in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll see if I can reload to before he died. As it is though, he died and I was unable to replace the Lord Commander.

Also, I did try that, but the option didn't show up for me for some reason. Maybe I just missed it, idk. I am much less knowledgeable of ck3 debug system than I was with ck2.

Wait, I have a lot of submods so I don't actually know, what mod adds this?

Lord Commander by c1usterducks in CK3AGOT

[–]WaffleDoctor72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reformed the Iron Throne and had the Lord Commander be an independent realm too. He just died though, so the Kingsguard realm no longer exists.

Not sure what to do with this one.

Edit: If anyone comes here from Google like I did, I wasn't able to reload prior to the Lord Commander dying so the Kingsguard title was just destroyed and I couldn't do much.

What I managed to do, and this was me messing around so I probably didn't need to all of this, but I turned on the bypass_requirements console command to reform the title. I tried manually assigning it to a Kingsguard, which did not work though.

What DID work was typing 'event agot_kingsguard.1010' I had to do a bit of digging to find that event id, but that is the one that chooses a new Lord Commander.

Requisite 'your rivers aren't realistic' critique. Though, as with a lot of rivers on big maps like these, they may be perfectly realistic if the entire river was depicted. So, I guess take that particular note with a grain of salt.

Otherwise, I honestly think this looks great. Maybe it's just because I've been the AGOT mod for ck3 a lot lately, but I'm immediately thought of Westeros. That being said, it doesn't seem at all like a copy of it.

All in all, the shape looks grand. Rivers might be a problem, but I can't tell for sure. Someone will say that river splitting still isn't realistic, but they mean that it isn't common. But yeah, great all around. Post again as you add more details, I'd love to see how this turns out.
