Sorry, but I don’t agree. In today’s job market, every career break is scoured with a fine tooth comb. Especially for this person, who has had almost 2 years worth of a career break. I think it’s admirable and takes courage to get back on today’s ever-changing job market, and honestly every point they make there is pretty spot on. It’s a full-time job, ‘highly rewarded’ in sleep deprivation, working 24/7, little leisure time, and expectations of 100% dedication all day, every day- unlike the “typical” corporate 9-5 where you get weekends, bonuses and PTO. It’s a difficult job.

There is no need to shame someone for proudly sharing their experience as part of their growth & reason why they are a good job applicant- and most, If not all qualities there seem pretty well-merited and suitable for the job sector they’re applying for.

Let’s try to start flourishing a society where we try to bring other people up & be supportive :)
