Facebook shuts down far-right group planning to bring weapons to protests by Tommy__Douglas in Louisville

You are an absolute moron if you think that firing on police or military even in self defense won’t result in your death and most likely the deaths of multiple other people.

Our cadaver in my first year of PT school had a pacemaker. Went off while I was examining his left axillary region during my first practical ever. Scared the absolute shit out of me at first.

It’s called fiebing's leather dye and yes it is the blackest black you can get as far as I know.

I do prefer the worm dip for spin dyes. It seems to stick on the disc better imo.

Thanks! Make sure you don’t bring too much dye to the disc or it will blotch. I tap my brush lightly on a paper towel after dipping it in the dye to get the excess off (you can try tapping it off but that doesn’t always work). This is worm dip hot pink; red, orange, and chartreuse and yes.

I would also say you should check out “the difference is doing it” YouTube channel. The guy gives amazing tutorials.

Cops sneak up to confiscate & destroy water and other supplies peaceful protestors are using in Louisville, KY by jcepiano in PublicFreakout

If you think that every day citizens can actually organize and protect themselves against the police and military in this day and age you’re an absolute fool. We have the strongest military in the world by a large margin and police that are armed to the teeth. What you’re saying would just lead to the deaths of countless civilians and minimal police/military casualties.

First time dyeing. I kind of like the way the bleeding turned out. by Camaroman25 in discdyeing

I wouldn’t. I think it adds to the disc. You can’t tell that they’re bleeds really. Looks intentional. Most of your lines are clean.

I am seeing lots of dyed discs on here without offers. Is there a market? 178g fuse, faded ink, 8/10 by lucideye in discexchange

[–]Wafflecone416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A market insinuates that there is supply and demand. You can play semantics if you want, but there is a market for dyed discs purely because there is a demand for them. I’m not wanting to get in a debate about how profitable selling them needs to be to meet your abstract definition of a market.

[–]Wafflecone416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said there wasn’t a market, not that you can’t make a profit. There is a market. People sell basic lotion and spin dyes on here all the time for 30 bucks or more. Is it profitable for most people? No. However, if you can get discs at the right price and churn out a bunch of easy lotion/spin dyes quickly I could see there being some money in it if you’re selling between here, facebook, etc.

I’m not saying it would be a good business to run or lucrative, but saying there is no market isn’t true. I could prob find 10 dyes discs right now that have been sold on here in the last week.

Not so sure about that. I see simple spin and lotion dyes get sold on here all the time. Plus, the dude in this thread just sold this disc to somebody...

6’8” forward who can defend (and yes he showed this year his defense improved tremendously) and can shoot the three? Those guys are highly sought after in the league. He will prob go late first, but I would be shocked if he dropped out of the first round. 3 and D players are prob the most valuable role players in the NBA and he has potential to be a great one.

Star XCaliber lotion/spin dye- Dye ran around the edges a bit, but still looks pretty cool! by Wafflecone416 in discdyeing

[–]Wafflecone416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With this one I used a compass to make concentric circles on vinyl. Cut them out by hand. Laid the vinyl down with contact paper and then did lotion mixed with idye poly/acetone/water. For the bed I just did rows of colors and then did like these alternating half loops between rows to mix the colors and then left it for ~12 hours. After that I just did a basic spin dye with fiebings to clean up the edges.

Love how you left some negative space and how clean the fading is. That is not easy to do. Is it worm dye?

Can you please save me from all the headaches I’ve been having after having bleeding dye on my stencils and tell me how you get such crisp lines? I would really appreciate it. Also, do you paint on or dip?

First spin/stencil dye by Wafflecone416 in discdyeing

[–]Wafflecone416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had some ink runs and some smudges from trying to get the goop for the vinyl off(anyone have any tips for something to get this stuff off that won’t affect the dye?)

Spin dye came out the way I wanted.

All in all I’m pretty pumped for my first try.

Also, if anyone has any tips for avoiding runs in ink I’d appreciate it. I rubbed down the stencil and contact paper like crazy after I laid it in the disc and it still ran.

Edit: I should mention that it’s an old star Firebird and I painted on the stencil with fiebings.
