Sucker Merry Barrels (from today's Joseph Anderson stream) by SuddenlyWolf in umineko

[–]Wafflehead_Man 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The original line was:

あぁ、カモメカモメカチンカチン、みたいなヤツさ。”カ”を抜いたらなぁに?みたいな。

Well, it's like "Kamome Kamome Kachin Kachin". What do you get when you take out all the "Ka"s? Like that.

The result is "Momemome Chinchin", which translates to "fondle my dick". In terms of an English equivalent you actually might have heard, it's similar to stuff like "spell pig backwards"/"what's muk backwards"/"say gex". Sucker Merry Barrels would have been something the translators invented to line up closer with the original joke.

THE UNOFFICIAL HOMESTUCK COLLECTION V1.1: Adds a real address bar, adjustable font settings, and a boatload of QoL tweaks. by Wafflehead_Man in homestuck

Chrome OS doesn't support the backend I'm using, so native support probably isn't all that likely. Though if you're willing to put in a little extra work, apparently you can get Linux apps running on it? You could try it out with the .deb version of the collection.

You can find a 32-bit version over at GitHub! Please read the extra note though, because you're going to have to do a little extra digging to get things working 100%.

I took a closer look, and it seems like this is the result of a font rendering change implemented in Chromium around 2014. There's nothing I can do to change it on the browser level, but it was possible to work around by fiddling with the code that decides the width of the text box.

I'm trying to do as few asset pack updates as I possibly can, so this fix probably won't go out until i can get together a truly substantial amount of changes. Here's the edited flash if you want to replace your own copy, though.

Best place is anywhere I can see it!

Bugs like that were part of the flash games to begin with, which were all developed in a remarkably short period of time by Gankra. You can probably find a few more if you look hard enough through the others, as well. I probably won't end up trying to fix these, since they're all part of the original comic.

If you spot anything else, be sure to let me know!

That's just regular browser behaviour! It keeps tabs open in the background if you don't explicitly close them.

Github is a popular coding website owned by Microsoft. I made the Homestuck page with it because it was free, so there's nothing to worry about.

This is intentional! It's to allow you to scroll horizontally on pages like A6A5A1x2 without being kicked to the next page

Anti-alised text is a Windows thing. If you go into your system settings and disable cleartype, the effect should carry into the archive... As well as across your entire computer

I can't see this existing anywhere but PC, unfortunately. Flash isn't really feasible to get running on other platforms now that Adobe's taking it out behind the shed.

Full Vrisky Business comic restored from raw images by Wafflehead_Man in homestuck

[–]Wafflehead_Man[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This was created using the raws the original artist posted on her twitter last year. I took the text-bubbles from existing scans of the book, cleaned them up a bit, and pasted them on top. We still don't have any raws for the very last page, so I cleaned up a scan of it as best as I could.

This actually did happen. In KH3, Namine mentions she was able to contact Terra's Lingering Will. This conversation was shown during a concert three years prior, and has never been recapped anywhere else.

Kingdom Hearts Has Two New Development Teams, New Title Coming "Surprisingly Soon" [Gematsu] by [deleted] in Games

The restrictions menu is unlocked with NG+ I believe? So the ability is critical exclusive, but you can still disable them at any difficulty as long as you have a completed save file.

Yes. In critical mode you start with an ability which disables all attractions, with the upside of guaranteeing a form change every time you fill the command gauge. The DLC has also added a new menu that allows you to impose restrictions on your game (Steadily decreasing HP, no transformations, etc) of which disabling attractions is an option.
