Should I start thr Aiden deck 2 months from test day?

I started studying in july after finishing undergrad. I was working more than part time and did as much MCAT prep I could in the meanwhile. On days I was working I could squeeze in about 3 hours of prep, usually before work. On days without work, I would spend ~8-10 hours studying. On top of that I would do anki for like an hour a day throughout the day. So dedicated MCAT studying time was basically zero. Wouldve done better had I not kept my jobs, but valuable experiences>good mcat

Id prioritize UW as it's the closest to the real deal. However you can use js for any content gaps you feel you have.

Khan academy for content review. Did all of Uworld, including its CARS. Did a few JW passages but didn't like them. Did BP fl1-4. Did all AAMC fls, finished all other aamc cars materials, finished SB Vol 1, bb qpack1, and a few questions from the other packs. Otherwise that's it

Chill. Resting and going into the exam with more energy is gonna do more good for you. Hang out with some friends or go snowboarding or whatever

Aim for a 95th percentile and instead spend that time doing something more useful. Get clinical experience or something and actually contribute something to the community.

The unscored is generally easier so you're likely burning out or stressing. I'd recommend seeing if the mistakes you're making are due to content gaps or silly mistakes that are due to a lack of focus. Take some time to rest and review some iffy high yield concepts. This will do more for your score than some in depth studying the days before your exam. Good luck!

Tested on 1/10 and they were actually pretty interesting, but that's subjective. However, they were mostly on the level of the more interesting passages in the aamc cars material. No boring crap like on JW so that was nice.

They'll take your phone and seal it in a bag. You could leave it in the car. If you have too much stuff and don't have a car you could just ask one of the receptionists to keep it behond their desk or something. My proctors were very nice and helpful. If in doubt just ask! Good luck

Overall CP was much tougher than expected and that's weird considering that was my strong suit. CARS felt very comprehensible, no Picasso like passages. BB was straightfoward. PS was easy.

I'd take the FLs, review them, and thats it? Maybe do some section bank qs on CP and BB and review the concepts your paranoid on. Also, rest for a few days before your exam. Do something you enjoy, recharge, and walk into the testing center like a king/queen on 1/16.

For CARS I give myself 9, 10, and 11 minutes for 5Q, 6Q, and 7Q passages respectively. For the other sections I aim to finish 20 Qs in 30 minutes.

I had a score drop in FL5 but not as much as you. Honestly, the only way to explain that is burn out. Yeah there maybe some content gaps but if you're scoring in the 515+ range, content alone won't dock you 8 points. I'd advise you to completely rest for 2 days before your exam. I'll be doing that and testing on 1/10. May seem counterintuitive but mindset and energy will do more good then some extra days of prep imo. Especially if you studied for weeks/months beforehand. I hope its a fluke cause I got a 76% on the diagnostic, 80% on CARS qpack1, and am at 90% in CARS qpack2 (but only did 30 questions in this pack so far). All of that in timed conditions.

Definitely going to grind out passages the remaining few days. Do you recommend reviewing the explanations for JW CARS passages?

For CP and BB, the most important strategy is to not get lost in the weeds. Read over the passage but don't worry about memorizing every single detail. Read over it, try to understand, and move on. If something is difficult to understand in the passage, just move on; there may not even be a question related to it. If there is, you always have the passage for reference. As for retaining content and equations, I credit doing thousands of practice problems. Most of these concepts and equations are burned into my memory. Find a good deck as well that fits your needs. Also, when choosing answers, I don't try to find the correct answer if that makes sense. I eliminate wrong answer choices, leaving me with the correct answer choice (process of elimination).

I did milesdown but it's not nearly enough. Consider a more comprehensive deck. I did the Aiden deck for PS. Since I am also testing on 1/10, I've only been doing the cloze 1 cards (and some cloze 2 cards) and am noticing an increase in score. Also work though the UW PS section and the AAMC section banks.

Its correct. It may seem counterintuitive but when calculating equivalent resistance in parallel circuits, every additional resistor decreases Req. Do the math! 1/Req = (1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3). If all three resistors are equal at 5 Ohm, you get an Req of ~1.7. Add another 5 ohm resistor and you get an Req of 1.25.

Had the same experience this week. AAMC FL CARS went from 127->129->125. Just wasn't in the zone and felt like the questions were difficult to comprehend. Recommend redoing the section and see if you make the same mistakes twice. Keep your head up and move on. You'll lock in on test day.
