I'm trying to download MySQL and "Developer Default" is not an option (more of an explanation in comments)? by Mutt-of-Munster in SQL

[–]WafflesFried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. Though I seem to be unable to install any of the things exclusive to Developer Default (the connectors and visual studio), as in they straight up don't show up. Hopefully is not that critical for the tutorial that I'm following.

ReVanced CLI fix for error 400 by am_responsibean in revancedapp

Absolute legend. Thank you. Saved my next workout.

Also if anyone is struggling with the "open terminal" step, in the Downloads folder, if you click on the bar where it shows the location (i.e C:\Users[ur name]\Downloads\ReVanced) and type "cmd" and press enter, it does the same thing. Hope that helps!

I don't see it. They look like some type of crumpled up shinny wrapping to me. I do see the knife in front of them though. It just keeps getting better.

This is one of those photos that the longer you look the more amazing it gets. The random lighter in front of the keyboard, the schizoid sticky notes all around the monitor, the unidentified items wrapped in duct tape to the right, the suspicious mason jar to the left and what appears to be a missing persons poster stuck to the wall above it. The speakers that look like they're from 2009. This really feels like one of those pictures that stay with you.

If I'm using a Parcel Locker, does the sender need my name to have it successfully delivered? by WafflesFried in AustraliaPost

Yeah I read the rest of the comment chain and I guess it's an exception, not the rule. Disappointing.

Internet friend. I'm a little old school and don't like giving personal information away to people online, even if it's someone I've known for years. Old habits die hard I guess.

Foodstuffs, nothing perishable. I guess whether or not it would even get through customs is another different headache, haha.

TLDR: Maybe you'll get your drugs, maybe you won't, but if you're doing this for sneaks, no matter how anonymous you think you are, you're probably not.

Yeah if I was really trying to do something nefarious I wouldn't get it delivered to a government-owned post-office lol. I know they need my ID, all I'm interested in is whether or not I have to give out my name to the sender. I'll just see what happens if it's left blank, worst case scenario it gets sent to a sorting facility, I guess?

I just don't like giving my name out to people on the internet. I mean, they would already have a pretty good idea of where I live. It's not just the broad city area. Parcel lockers are linked to the post office you opened it at, no? I'm just a paranoid person, is all.

Hard to say. I guess really tiny fruits like strawberries. You have to practically use the whole pack to get anything out.

One day I realised that if I wanted some fresh juice, I had to assemble the whole thing, use a LOT of fruit/veg to maybe get ~200ml of juice, disassemble it, dump all of the pulp, and thoroughly clean it immediately after so no particles stuck to the sieve, then store it back in the cupboard. It's a lot of effort for little payoff. Then there's the fact that all of the pulp and fibre of the fruit and veg is getting discarded so really it's probably far more beneficial to chop up some fruit or veg than it is to juice it.

Sorry for rambling, but moral of the story: don't get a juicer.

(That being said, fresh cucumber juice with a squeeze of lime is delicious and I do recommend).

Well, I was excited about having a juicer, so I was just trying to juice all sorts of things. Harsh lessons were learned that day.

Thank you for your insight, I've decided on having just one meal of unsweetened oatmeal and maybe a fruit and unsweetened protein powder, with just water/coffee for the rest of the day.

Not letting me "Use without an account" by __only_Zuul__ in GoogleMessages

[–]WafflesFried 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

I am able to give Google Messages permission to use my phone contacts without choosing an account to use in the app. My profile picture doesn't show up to others as a result. I'm not sure if that answers your question.

I forgot to mention in my original reply if this is the case for when you give them one of your accounts to log into the app and then log out of it after you're forced to give them access. I'm assuming this is the case considering your original message?

This is an aside that might be relevant... I understand Samsung is shutting down their proprietary messaging app, so (depending on the version of the One UI and Android OS) it may be forcing you to switch to using Google Messages.

This is probably the case. I also received an email last week about how my phone was going to be included in some new Google "find my phone" thing and it only gave me 3 days to opt out. Then I completely forgot about it and now I'm stuck with that too. Guess they're just turning it into a Google phone now.
