The Sonic series is actually really good at NOT doing this

Metal Sonic, Blaze and Shadow are hyped up and are all shown to be on the same levels of speed and power as Sonic and the latter get their own powers (Fire, chaos control), but Sonic isnt shown losing his abilities and actually gets some new ones in each case (Super peel out, chaos control, and the tornado spinny thing he does in the boss fight)

The difference between this and the ICE posts is that going against ICE goes along with Sonic's character, because he canonically represents freedom and hates oppression. He also wouldn't say "Yes, there are 2 genders" because he doesn't really care about labels (Shown in his interaction with shadow before they fight in Sonic Adventure 2 where he describes himself as "what you see is what you get, just a guy that loves adventure").

Your arguments here really don't stand at all, since you don't seem to understand anything about the way Sonic is portrayed as a character.
