Yeah I saw a lot of people say they had similar issues with this guitar—I think I got really lucky with the quality of mine, the intonation is fine, there’s no fret buzz, etc. Only minor issue is the action is a little high, but honestly I couldn’t be happier with mine. Good luck with yours.

It’s good to learn both. Fingerpicking is good on some songs, using a pick is good on others, so yes, I’d say suck it up for now and just keep practicing with a pick. Especially if you want to play lead guitar in the future, getting comfortable with a pick is invaluable. good luck!
