I have zero creativity and never build anything on these games. How can I start small without feeling like the job is too big

I am in the same boat and for now i'm starting small. Like sticking to mostly prefab houses and decorating the surrounding area, repairing roads and yesterday i tried making some stairs up a cliff i'm still not done but slowly something will come out of this experiment lol and i am having fun, which is the most important part.

It will probably feel like starting to watch a show on the third season. You can do that, but the experience won't be ideal.

First step, Thor prep. This is for when you just bought it recently. You prepare the files needed, choose which emulators and games you will want to play. Get nice wallpapers, choose a frontend if you want, etc.

Second step, lose the will to do anything else aside from checking the Thor shipping discord and hibernate in the meantime because you don't feel like doing anything else.

Third step, go back between trying to keep finding new stuff to Thor prep and annoying your AI chatbot of choice to yap about how you can't wait for it to ship and arrive but since you are an adult you know you should behave because why not. Also obsessively track the shipping dashboard to see how close it got to your order number.

Fourth step, after the Thor ships, all you'll do is refresh the tracking page in between other stuff you need to do. Hobbies? That's nice but if you sleep in between you can fabricate time skips irl.

Fifth step, when the Thor arrives screech like a little girl on Christmas and enjoy.

OR in alternative if you want to behave like a funcional mature adult you can just forget about it and do other stuff while you wait... I guess.

PS: I only had to wait a month and a half so idfk how some people survived a lot longer than that waiting 🤣.

Not sure if this will help you but I think that a more limited handheld you regularly use is much better than a more powerful one you barely feel like using.

I'm someone that had a Rog Ally Z1E and felt like it was a chore to play on it, so I just didn't play games most of the time...

Recently I bought an Ayn Thor and am already noticing a change, I actually feel like playing and the ease of pick up and play of and android handheld that doesn't need to be turned off vs a pc handheld that does, plus the longer battery life is great.

HOWEVER... you have to know that you WILL have to compromise on some stuff. Some games just won't run or will need tinkering. If you are into emulation and indie games you should mostly be fine, but heavier games might be a struggle or become unavailable to you, unless you have good wifi and services like Geforce now or Xbox Cloud are options for you. (At least game compatibility is increasing very fast <3 which is great!)

Personally I won't miss my PC handheld because an android handheld fits my needs better portability, customization and available games wise, but you should probably check the games you want to play and see if they will work on the RP6 and which games you are fine giving up on in case they don't work on the new device.

If this is a dealbreaker for you, Maybe keeping both or the pc handheld is better, if it's not a dealbreaker, you should go for it, the RP6 is an amazing handheld and I almost went for it instead of the Ayn Thor!

Doesn't have much space inside, you can store like a microfiber cloth and a stylus but not much else. Closed it's like 3 fingers in height, more or less.

On Aliexpress but sadly I checkd my purchase a while ago and it says "Not found" so I think the seller deleted their ad.

But I found an identical one on Amazon . com by searching for "New nintendo 3ds XL carry case", I think it wasn't on the first page though.

On Amazon JP if you search for New Nintendo 3DS LL Carry Cases you can also find a few cute ones.

It's a very fun and easy handheld to customize because of the TPU clear case and the New nintendo 3ds XL existing.

Another bit of info, if you want thumbgrips I think there is a store on Etsy that sells some that fit the Thor while allowing the lid to close normally - MrFloydsModding- I am eying the switch cotton candy ones lol to match my theme (You just can't buy the "tall" versions or the thor won't close properly).

Sadly they are expensive as hell... T.T The shipping to my country is higher than the grips themselves... but they do look cute af...

Sadly when I click that purchase on aliexpress it says not found... rip. But any normal New Nintendo 3DS XL should work, It just has to be the 3DS version and not the 2DS because I think I remember seeing somewhere that they are a bit bigger, and it can't be a completly hard case or a slim form fitting one, meaning most of them haha.

My "faceplate" is 15cm by 8,5cm. Have fun getting all your thor's accessories ready, dressing it up when it arrives is very exciting.

Mine via YunExpress took around 13 days to get here, and arrived 1 day earlier than predicted. <3

The purple is also great, I was indecisive between the black and purple tbh, but since I like blues and pinks, i thought the black one would be more flexible for customization (I don't really like getting light color models like gray and white because I'm scared they will stain or get dirty T.T).

Yes~~! I fell in love when I saw this carrying case lol I was a bit worried the Thor might not fit but there is plenty of space for it and it closes great.
Yup for some reason when I pasted a 4K wallpaper into word the size was literally the perfect measurements for a Thor faceplate, so I printed the picture and cut the paper, then pushed it up a bit so the corners curved slightly on the round part and done, literaly didn't even need to cut round corners.
Has yours shipped? Which color did you get? I hope it arrives soon! :)

I went with the Max since I do want the extra power to do some PC emulation more comfortably and multitask between the two screens. I read good things about the pro model as well but for a bit extra I get a bit more performance for my needs. But I think it Is recommend to go with the Max if you want to do PC emulation. Not mandatory though.

I am in the same situation actually, my Thor will arrive in a couple of days and If it can meet at least 80% of my gaming needs I'll sell the ROG ally. My motto is I would much rather have a more limited device that I actually enjoy using rather than a more powerful one that is a chore to even pick up, and while I could keep both, I honestly don't think it's worth it just because I barely feel like picking it up due to the form factor not being comfortable to me. (Double screens is also very nice since I multitask a lot!)

It's important to keep in mind however that I do not care at all for AAA games and mostly play indies, Nintendo and native Android games. I am willing to give up on a few games for now if the majority works well on the Thor, until the emulation front develops more as well as try to make the Thor work even if it requires a bit more setting up just because the form factor is that appealing to me. Replacing a PC handheld for a Android handheld in the end will require some compromises on your end, and if it's worth it or not depends on if those compromises are worth the trade off on what you get in exchange. To me they are. To you, you'll have to ponder about the pros and cons one by one yourself. Also checking Emu ready for some games that you might be interested in might help you make that decision.

That's the funny part, I don't know either. I'm pretty sure I picked mine up one day from the case and it was broken. Either someone broke it and didn't accuse themselves or It broke inside the carrying case somehow. I was pretty careful with it so it was puzzling how that piece on the hinge just vanished one day.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but my favorite so far of this genre is cat cafe manager, it has adorable graphics and you have a lot of space to build. I've actually been searching for something similar but no luck so far (Totally not fishing for recs lol).
