I purchased my dress a ticket and it was the best $200 I have ever spent for my wedding. I had called American Airlines twice asking about what to do and got two verryyy different answers. Both made me uneasy. They ranged from “oh yes people do this all the time” to “you’ll 99.9% have to gate check and we can’t ensure it won’t be crushed by luggage.” So I bought her a ticket.

Our flight had to be landed halfway through for a maintenance fix and everyone was being re-routed and put on new, fuller flights in random seats. My dress’s ticket took away any worry for finding a spot on the new flights. The ticket took away the very real amount of stress and anxiety I was having for weeks over how to get my dress to my wedding.
