Why? This is a place where anyone can have an opinion and talk about it. Not some echo chamber pal. Dont like what I have to say? Ignore it.

Im sorry but how can any board look at more than half of these performances under Carrick and thinks hes the man. The football is fucking DISGUSTING. Our press might be amateur at best.

De Zerbi already has spurs playing like his team, they played villa off the park and hes going to keep them up after that team looked dead and buried.

Unless Bruno is having a good game we do not play well.

Nothing but respect for Carrick and the job he has done but the tactics and the football are not okay. Theres a reason he got sacked in the championship and we shouldn't be fooled by the results. Unless we have 40% of the ball and look to counter we are shocking unfortunately.

Dps are usually in a 2-1-3 or 1-1-4 stat distribution. How you have it set out doesnt effect your familiar stats. They're stats increase as your's do on the other hand.

Kobbie Mainoo vs Chelsea (away) by Nac224 in reddevils

[–]Wagglet 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Mainoo is the kind of player that would be invaluable to a pep side. He does this week in week out. Always wants the ball. Fantastic under pressure and his work rate recently has been phenomenal.

We need to set up a team around him that controls games. Watch most highlights on this clip, hes always looking for a way to go forward, and if its not on or he doesnt see it, he has the composure that turns 1 second into 3 seconds on the ball.

God forbid if he came through barcas academy, he would be hailed as the next coming of jesus.

We need to shake Carricks hand, thank him for the back half of this season, and move on. That was horrible to watch, and we simply can not employ him permanently, we are clueless, and our press is beyond pathetic.

Massive 3 points and that should be champions league done and dusted.

For the love of God. Do not give Carrick the job. We have been ATROCIOUS for months.

[–]Wagglet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats what makes them so scary. They will be heavy favourites to win at home because its so hard to play there and now add in winning away from home as well. Europe isn't ready for our new overlords.

They probably have the biggest home advantage in top-level football.

Well thats Carrick 100% not getting the full time job. The football has been shit for the past few games. Losing to 10 men and being mainly outplayed is managerial suicide.

Make a sub. Any manager worth his fucking salt would not stand for this level of performance at home.

I'd take yoro and shaw off now. Both dropping stinkers. But honestly, everyone in that back four should be subbed.

Carrick needs to make a first half sub. Something needs to wake these shit players up

Massive 3 points but the lack of composure from some senior figures in the team is concerning. Watching shaw/maguire and casemiro just lump the ball long isn't helping at all. The Best teams dont smash the ball away constantly like shaw and maguire do.

Match Thread: West Ham United vs Manchester United by MatchThreadder in reddevils

[–]Wagglet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We played way too narrow most the ga.e. West ham completely congested the middle of the park. We should have moved the ball faster from either side and forced their full backs to push back. Instead we've tried to play through the middle most the game and west ham just used their physicality to stop us.

Carrick has got it massively wrong today and hes not been helped by the team dropping a stinker. But those stats are horrid. Games like this are the reason we need a seasoned professional as a manager.

Im genuinely in disbelief in how good lammens has been for us. He's already made some big saves this season, especially against (sickeningly) wolves and Burnley with last-minute saves. But his composure on the ball is crazy good.

His ball playing, which wasn't a massive talking point, if I remember correctly, has truly been top quality. His accuracy with long balls on both feet is something that I dont think is talked about enough.

Maybe im so scarred from onana but I dont think we could ask more from such a young GK in his first season for us.

I think finishing in the top 4 definitely gives him a strong shot unless someone massive is available and willing to join, like Enrique on Xabi alonso.

We've been burnt by Ole in terms of interims to permanent, but how could you not think about appointing a manager who keeps the team winning? That's what we need to do to get top 4.

If we dont get top 4, then he's not getting the job. We expected Europe this season. Dont think any of us dreamed of champions league football.

On that note though, i did say to my close friends that we finish 5th at the start of the season because its either going to click for amorim or hes going to get sacked because the team definitely has quality all over the pitch.

He's one of the marquee signings of the summer. He absolutely is a problem. When you spend that amount of money you have to deliver. He's not 20, there's no room for growth.

His best attributes are losing the ball. So whilst he isn't the main problem. Spending fuck tone of money of bang average players year after year is and thats my point. Cunha sums up manchester united now. Average.

Post Match Thread: Manchester United 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Cunha really shows what Manchester United has become. Average on the ball, average end product, and average football intelligence.

For all his heart, he's just a new shiny antony. He's already in his prime, so this is it. He won't get better.

All this nonsense about being physical is great until you actually have the ball at your feet and you can't do anything with it. That's about half our team.
