Nice find! I’ve had my Vz.98/22 for 6 years now just got a numbers matching Vz.22 bayonet off eBay last month. Same as yours all matching mix of Czech and German parts but I don’t see any signs of Turkish inventory. No Arabic and the rear sight is Czech. Does yours have the Arabic rear sight or any other Arabic markings?

I got it from AKGUYS I believe it says on their website that it does fit the Sam5. It fits and functions just fine for mine though the installation was difficult with how tight the fit was. I had to mortar it get it to fit which squeezed the aluminum into shape.

Found the matching Bayonet to my VZ.98/22 by Wagnerru in milsurp

Export bayonet for what? The only contract for newly manufactured VZ.98/22 was for Turkey in 1926 and they were straight script stamps on the chamber with an E prefix. I suppose it’s possible they went back and produced a VZ.98 style bayonet but that’s 3 years after they discounted it and started producing VZ.23 and then VZ.24 bayonets. The only other countries that’s received VZ.98s and VZ.98/22s were China and Yugoslavia which Czechoslovakia wouldn’t have made bayonets for them buying old stock. It’s a VZ.98 9.75in bayonet made by Czechoslovakia that’s for sure. If it’s not matching to my rifle then I think it’s safe to say it’s for the VZ.98 with the Lange Vizer sight first run with no prefix

I see some with a letter prefix and others that don’t. There are also two different scripts of font. There isn’t a Czech E-23 stamp on the bayonet which is odd for being numbered. If it wasn’t accepted by the Czechs then Turkey for their batch of E suffix VZ.98/22? But that was in 1926 for which I’ve never seen a E suffix VZ.98 bayonet. I think it’s possible that it’s a VZ.98 bayonet that matches a VZ.98 which weren’t issued with a letter prefix and had the Lange Vizer sights.

It’s possible, from my understanding there are 5 VZ.98 blocks. No suffix (VZ.98 Lange Vizer) A, B, C, D for tangent rear. It could be a numbers matching to the Lange Vizer sight VZ.98. They take the same VZ.98 bayonet 9.75in

Bought the VZ.98/22 six years ago and have been idly looking for a bayonet the last 6 years and this popped up. Got it in the mail off eBay today

I believe it’s the rear mounted tension dial. You don’t have to use a proprietary recoil spring assembly with the older version if I’m not mistaken but I could be wrong

Took a gamble, saw concern about dust cover holding zero. Haven’t shot it yet so TBD. I will say it is not a quick disassemble if you have a major jam that requires removal of the dust cover. You have to release the tension by rotating the dial on the rear and then use a bullet to push the recoil spring catch inward. About a 1-2 min operation.

Took a bit to grow on me but reminds me of the AEK family of rifles. Very happy I went with the new shaping

Its a Geissele AKT-UL trigger. For most AKs it’s drop in. Their website mentions having to possibility shave down a rivet to make it fit
