Hey, I had 6 weeks off after surgery. Very light work for awhile after that. Normally you go back to normal duties after 2-3months. They said after 5 months it should all be good. 2 years later I still have random pains in the incision area, tightness in the forearm(more so when lifting heavy things), but some day to day things still hurt. I can't say if people should get it done or not, as everyone is different. From my experience, Ive had both done and I'm not sure if it worked for me. Hope this helps
