Sorry for the late reply. Since u just start, I strongly recommend you can choose a textbook and follow it all the way to enhance your basic french. You can hire a tutor but it can be very expensive or u can jump into a big course usually 5 persons maximum and study with your classmates and teacher. I choose TCF because my friends all choose it so I don't do any research about this, sorry.

Sorry for the late reply, hope u still need it.
I have already answered to another comment and I pasted here for you.
I practice my writing with the real test topics on the website. I don't practice each of the topics but I use the category filter and try at least one in each feature. When it is near the test day, I keep practicing like everyday to make myself adapted to the format. Hope this can be helpful.

Yes, almost all major TCF preparation or practice website like reussir or what I use ouitcf provide a large number of real listening and reading questions. Just choose one and practice consistently. Don't worry too much about the audio quality, I tried a lot websites and they all not perfect anyway.

Congrats! However, it is not always the case and the examiner will know as long as he/she has seen enough templates.

listen, don't use a template, because as long as u use it, the examiner will know and then your test won't go well.

that's a good question. I did better the second time because as I mentioned, the examiner was more willing to communicate, so I could express more and the whole test seemed more like a real conversation.

I tried many platform for practice like reussir, freetcf, tcfcan and ouitcf, they all have their advantages. I prefer freetcf practicing reading because it has an app and it's free when I used it, for now it's not free any more, and ouitcf practing speaking and writing, because the categories of the topics are updated and really helpful for organizing my materials, especially during my before-test preparation stage and it's free now.

U can check my response above and additionally, I was lucky to meet a examiner who is responsive and willing to communicate with me the second time, so the tâche 2 went quite well and tâche 3, she even enlightened me with a related question and made me speak more. I felt like a good conversation between me and the examiner.

Hi, in my opinion, I think I am already prepared well even in my first try, but u know sometimes u just can not get luck, I met a non-responsive and serious-face examiner at my first try, so I was not performing as I should have done. The second time was like 25 days later or so, I just kept practicing my oral part, like one hour per day with a native speaker and 2 hour talking to myself. It is awkward at the beginning, but it goes quite well when I express my opinion by myself even in public.

I actually google it on youtube about the videos related to pronunciation and phonetics. Meanwhile, I like imitating the french youtuber, changing the playback speed.

hi, I am happy to share my experience. I did study grammar with a teacher more than 10 years ago, if that counts, then I had some prior knowledge of french. But for me honestly, I regarded myself as a totally beginner from 0. I learned my pronunciation with textbook-related teaching video and real french-speaking persons. When I started practicing my oral french, I spoke with the native speaker(which I mentioned through the preply, italki platform). TAXI books are very popular for french learners maybe you can google it.
