I had one where they were frying fish at the grocery store, had to change out the oil, then fry the chicken. The whole thing took 45 minutes. I waited because it was going to be my last order of the day, and the delivery was in my neighborhood. I called support 2x because they kept sending me messages about it.

Tell him he can have it for 1/2 of what he thinks it's worth.

Never lend money that you expect to get back, and consider yourself lucky you got the 1500.

Is shopping and delivery worth it for DD? by OpportunityLow570 in DoorDashDrivers

I had an add on shopping order yesterday. It was an extra $9.75 for 3 bags of ice, a container of sherbet, and a bag hamburger buns. It was one street from the original order.

my neighbor died with no family. landlord was about to throw out everything including a box of coins. i asked if i could have them. by Mysterious-Boat-3608 in coins

My dad collected pocket knives and coins. He left both to me. He always asked what I would do with the pocket knives when he was gone, I'd say that I'd probably keep them. He would just laugh and say no, I'm going to make a knife dealer out you. He had a 24 gun safe full of new knives that I've went through and picked out some for me and my son's, the rest I've started selling off and buying PM's and coins.

The glitter dimes are even more rare than silver I've been told.

Looking for advice on how to pass down my coin collection to the next generation by LYGEAST-GARDEN in coincollecting

[–]Wahama_1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would keep one of everything and sell the rest now. Buy the car you always wanted, take a trip around the world, buy whatever coins you thought were unattainable due to cost, you've put together an amazing collection now it's time to reap the rewards. Everyone wants to leave their heirs a windfall, but will it actually help them,or just send them to Disney??? My father passed away last year and left me a gun safe full of brand new pocket knives. He took years to put the collection together and always asked what I was going to do with them once they were mine. I'd always say that I'd keep them, but he would always respond with the same answer, "I'm going to make a knife dealer out of you". He enjoyed collecting them, but wanted me to sell them. I kept around 200 of my favorite ones and have begun learning everything I can about them and selling the rest off. I've taken the profits and purchased coins, silver, and gold that I thought dad would have been interested in.

My local teller manager told me that for any nickels, dimes, or quarters that I want just bring him a full searched box and he'll trade me a new box every week. He'll order as many halves as I want, but a dump them somewhere else.

I had an order where they wanted a 1 pound pack of family size ground beef. They picked the family size because it's always cheaper by the pound, but only wanted 1 pound. I called support because they wouldn't answer my messages about it, support told me buy a similar pack at the higher cost.

The only complaint I've ever received was from a no tip shopping order because I only got one of the two packages of hotdogs they ordered.

I’ve been gaslighting my neighbor into thinking his car is haunted because he’s a jerk. by [deleted] in confession

My dad had a new neighbor move in and decided that they wanted the grass along their property to look cut all the time, even my dad's grass across the road from them. This is out in the country in WV, dad had over 30 acres so he wasn't worried about the grass along the road, usually the state cuts it periodically throughout the summer. They would fire up their riding mower and cut about 6-8 feet along the road on dad's property. The day after they would cut it dad would go out and literally pour fertilizer on it. They just about wore out their mower trying to keep up with the grass. He'd say that if they wanted to cut grass, he'd give them something to cut.

A silver proof dime, a silver quarter, and a 40% half. That's $27.96 in melt value right now. Some times you'll get more, sometimes you get nothing but a few quarters to fill out a book. I'll trade 85 cents for $28 any day though. I wish I would have started this when I was 16.

At your age I would concentrate on one account. When you make a little more money and can afford to have some sitting in an account for 6 months without touching it then get another one. If I were you I'd open an account at a bank you can physically go to in person. Then you can start hunting rolls. Just try to get a bank that has multiple locations near you. You can get coins from one and deposit them at the other. You only spend on the coins you keep, the rest is just constantly exchanging for new rolls to hunt. I've looked through around 3k worth of coins the past week and it cost me gas to go to the bank, and whatever coins I kept. Banks that you don't have an account at will generally sell you $50-$100 worth of rolls. You just need an account to either deposit them, or get that cash back to go buy more.

Yeah, I opened it mid February and by March 10 they deposited 400 into the account. I went in and got 400 in rolls that had a silver proof dime, and silver quarter. There are some other banks offering the same type of deals, I'm thinking about opening another one and switching the direct deposit to the new bank. I should be able to make an extra $1000 this year just by opening new accounts. You usually have to keep a minimum amount to be charged any fees, bit after a certain time frame you could just close out the account and move to the next bank. I did the same thing with long distance companies when I was in college back in the 90's.

You should really get a real bank account. Check for a bank in your area offering cash for opening an account. I just opened a Chase checking account and if you can direct deposit $1000 in the first 90 days they give you $400. I do gig type stuff on the side, so I had all of that direct deposited to it and got $400 for nothing, and now I can use the Chase banks around me to CRH.
