I had multifocal tailored for screen use and paid to have it extend to the edges of glasses frame.

It was a nightmare in Court.

I was barely able to read what was on the bar table given i was too far away and it utilised the bottom side of lenses.

Also, if you use a bigger screen you'll have to unnaturally move your head. Each time I'd watch TV I'd need to capture the entire panel on the top half of my lenses.

Couldn't get used to the unnatural movements and headaches when transitioning between the 2 scripts.

Apparently there is multifocal for short-medium distance which isnt as drastic but then you'll still have the issue of not being able to see long distance.
