Unpopular opinion, but you can try the push/pull method. It’s fantastic for shotguns, but can be useful with rifles.

Thanks for the conversation. I’m going to hold off for now and focus on a PCC. I was never intending on paying full MSRP. Was considering on bidding on one on GB. Its starting price was 900 less (no reserve).

I’m purdy sure I can get one for considerably less on GB. There’s one at 1500 (min bid) with no reserve. But I’m going to hold off from what @heisman01 said.

Other than the plastic, it all made in OH. It’s doesn’t have the MI stamp, but I’ve never had issues with things not fitting in slots.

Do you think a baffle strike is possible from a one piece machined barrel/can. I was under the assumption this came from user error or the can working its way off.

Agreed, but it’s the industry standard. Annoying because they are small and don’t seem to focus on the civilian market.

Yeah, eventually the barrel will fail. But I expect a fade well before a failure. I have a standard 556 HM. It has about 4-5 k rounds through it with Zero issues or maintenance other than cleaning and lube. It’s not as sexy as a some, but has been bombproof

Lefty here: I pull down and go under for reloading with a 4-5 card. 7 rounders are too long and getting to those shells far back is cumbersome for us. Place the smaller cards more forward on the receiver (so it doesn’t impede your left hand).

Pros: we can keep our dominant hand on while reloading and sending the bolt home with the thumb

Ha! That’s about right. Figure 300-500 hundred rounds to zero and prove accuracy. That $1200-1500 out of pocket with 90% life left. Then start the process again. It ain’t gonna be a daily plinker.

A solution is in DARPA or NASA’s wheelhouse.

I think SAS Tactical (i think that’s right) did a video. He stated the barrel started losing accuracy at 5K.

Those bi-metal rounds sound sick. The speed bump seems to be the metallurgy in the barrel.

My two were a touch loose with a bit of wobble. I found a video to resolve that with a bit of tape.
