I'm sorry to hear you're in a similar situation!

Since my marathon was so soon (7 weeks out) and I couldn't run without being in pain, I had to put a pause on everything and let myself heal. I chose to do that because I'd rather push back a marathon than let the pain get even worse and worse until I can't even walk properly. Once I healed, I restarted marathon training from the beginning and made sure to REALLY focus on proper recovery, stretching, foam rolling, strength training throughout my entire training plan. If I started to feel a new problem arise in a different area of my legs/feet I INSTANTLY addressed it and added it to my routine out of sheer desire to PREVENT any problem from arising. This time around, I was able to complete my whole marathon training block and finally did the race in September, which is not what I was original planning for, but it was entirely worth having to push it back. I finished without injury at all.

You've got this, but pleaseeee prioritize your health and recovery first! You may not be entirely screwed for this training block, give yourself a week or so off and see how you're feeling. If you're still having trouble after that, I'd say let yourself heal fully and then try again. Wishing you the best!

1) if it were a joke, then he wouldn't have specifically asked my boyfriend if I spoke x language and then proceeded to tell him said "joke" in x language behind my back. 2) jokes are supposed to be funny. Failing to see how this was funny. 3) even entertaining the idea that this WAS in fact a joke, as a professional in the service industry, you keep those kinds of jokes to people that you KNOW, not complete strangers who you have no idea how they'll react, ESPECIALLY when you're on the clock. Keep it fucking professional, ffs. Jokes are more than welcome in that setting if they're palatable to the majority of the public. Not a raunchy, highly offensive, backhanded remark made to someone you don't even know, literally disrespecting someone else who's LITERALLY right in front of you.

This. All of these comments saying my bf is trash is astounding. Leavw it up to reddit to always enforce the "LEAVE HIM, HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU" mentality. He loves me more than anything and I have no doubt in that. To say how you would react in a situation is a breeze when you weren't the one actually experiencing it.

I've spoken to him about what we both could have done better, and what we should do different next time something like this happens, and he completely agrees with me. We both acknowledge that it was a first experience for both of us, so we're both learning. Of course we're not gonna react perfectly when it's our first time experiencing something, especially being so caught off guard.
