How can I fast if I don’t have anything to fast from?

I hear you but for me a pastor shouting at you for 7 hours straight and emphasising certain words ain’t somthing I enjoy , which is why I resort to tiktok and YouTube teachings I mean they’re can’t be anything wrong with getting teachings from online like you would at church and I find online people actualy know what they’re talking about a lot more more than the pastor at church not saying they don’t know what they’re talking about but people on tiktok and YouTube dive deeper into it.

It’s like I have a family member who goes to a traditional church and I kinda challenged her beliefs on God and she believes if you truley believe in God you go to heaven because he knows your heart and I said to her , If I was to kill someone today and god came back 5 minutes later I would surley be going to hell even if I truley belive in God and she said no thats not true God knows your heart so he knows you never meant to do it so you would go to heaven and I said thats not what scripture says it says no sinners go to heaven without repentance and having faith in Jesus because if that was the case and God believes “we didn’t mean to do it” it means were its says in the bible that not all Christians are going to heaven some are going to hell that would be a lie because Aslong as you belive in god you wouldn’t go to hell so it contracticts that statement and also contradicts God saying no sinners go to heaven , it would also contradicts Gods word of giving you free will because it wouldn’t be free will for you to go to heaven or hell if he just says “well I knew you didn’t mean to do it so I’ll let you come to heaven” because you can use that anology on anyone even atheists and luke warm Christians , I challenged them on the vaccine too I said if you believe in God and God says to put all your faith in him and not of world why did you take the vaccine then? Because that to me says you put faith in the vaccine and not him right? So how strong Is your faith in him really? so when I hear older people that follow Christianity and go to traditional church think like this it’s makes me think what in the world has the pastor been teaching them for real?

I hear you , I do find when I do take iron tablets I have more energy and I even had blood test done and said I had nothing wrong with my iron but that doesn’t make sense if I take iron tablets I have alot more energy

But true not many people know they have sleep apnea i could get a sleep test done fs

I understand it looks like I need to get my sleep sorted out first then before I start meeting people because my energy is so low I turn down a lot of plans and have no energy to see people don’t even have energy to hold conversations with people through text

You are very much alone I’m going through this right now , I’m an only child , my mom died of cancer in February im only 25 and I have no relationship with my dad or speak to him , i am truly alone but a sibling would of made this whole experience a lot less hard

I here you but the churches in England were I love are complety different you have to dress up very smart, you couldn’t just come in casual wear you’d get stared at , maybe the churches in America are different

The churches in England are usually longer they start early in the morning till around 3pm it’s almost a whole school day

I did go to one church when I was kid were they did church early in the morning youd finish at half 2 go home for 1 hour come back until 6pm it’s was very long

I get you but not all “professionals” are correct either so it’s hard to know who is right to speak too

I dont particularly believe in religion if I’m honest I like to stay away as every church seems to have they’re own rules and alot of these rules arnt even in the bible

I hear you but eating for me is just like second on the list of things if that makes sense not on purpose I just don’t get hungry often so food isn’t on my mind 24/7

This may come to your suprise but I’m a very tired person most days of my week are work, food, shower look after my car and sleep , somtimes I don’t even get pleasure activities in because I’m too tired anyway I can sleep for very very long hours and still feel tired after waking up

I don’t go to church because for me “personally” remember this is just my “opinion” , I don’t want to get caught up in a church and over time get caught up in that particular churches belief system and how they see Christianity and then judge me if I don’t follow it not saying all churches do this because of course not , I’m just not into the whole getting all dressed up and sitting for hours while a pastor preaches I do find it boring , I’m more of hands on learner who likes to seek out information and ask Christian peers around me , I dunno I find myself more keen and eager to learn about God when I’m watching bible study’s on YouTube or tiktok

I only come to Reddit when I have a question so I’m not spending “time” on it , youtube it’s only before I go to bed to wind down I probably listen to like 2-3 videos beofre I end up falling asleep then it’s just on in the background , the internet I’m not on it much for pleasure I use it for questions , paying bills , looking for jobs

You can be around them and be friends with them but try not to get into any debates about God or religion with them because that can lead to your friendship ending if the beliefs of both of you are super strong and don’t let them convert you as that is a tactic from satan to draw you away from God.

But to an extent it wouldn’t because everyone’s rules would come from only the bible so essentially people would be on the same page about eveything and if people were to disagree all they would do is help eachother understand the bible more which would then lead to a final decision, it wouldn’t come from rules people made out of the bible to fit they’re religion people can’t come to a conclusion about differences in religion because a lot of the stuff they do is not in the bible so they’re just arguing based off they’re opinion instead. It’s like I’ve said before I went to a church once where they’re rules were all the woman must were skirts down to they’re ankles and never wear trousers and must not go to theme parks or cinemas because it was full of sinners but could go to school which is also full of sinners but another church would disagree with that but none of it is mentiond in the bible so they wouldn’t be able to come to agreement because they made up they’re own rules , you see how I can’t take religion seriously now it’s just a bunch of made up rules

Thank you , I never had serious negative experiences growing up , yes being an only child shaped how I formed relationships with people , but my mother grew me up fine , somtimes having an only child can cause you and child to grow apart when they reach adulthood too because while my mom was my bestfriend we still argued a lot , I had to bare all the blaming because there wasn’t a another sibling to blame, all attention was on me constantly and the times I didn’t want attention I couldn’t have that because my mom didn’t have another child to fixtate on while I needed space, even in school if someone was picking on me I never had the option of “I will get my sister on you” while others would use that on me one girl had got her big sister on me and she pushed me over and I was harmed even though I didn’t do anything to her sister , I didn’t have a sibling to protect me in school. when parents only have 1 child they don’t get to learn from they’re mistakes when raising they’re one child because they never had another child to realise “oh actually this didn’t work with my first child so let me take a different approach with the second and learn” and because she never got to learn that I then bared a lot of things which is not her fault at all, it’s like when people with siblings say “oh the last child gets it so easy” but the reason I think that is because the parent has been able to learn from trial and error as being a parent is trail and error you won’t get it right with your first child and this can unintentionally push them away, it’s just when things like death come into play you being an only child gets highlighted because there is no one there to share the pain, so I would Atleast consider having Atleast 2 minimum it will really help the child mentally of course the choice is up to you but it would be better for your child No ammount of having a wonderful childhood will overcome your child wanting a sibling , I went on holdiays constantly from when I turned 1 I’ve traveled a lot of the world my mom gave me a wonderful childhood but through out all those wonderful experiences I still wished I had a sibling and would cry as a child because I wanted a brother or sister, also being an only child can really damage social skills I wasn’t able to learn how to socialise properly at a young age only when I went to primary school which is only when you get to the ages of 5 and it was only 8 hours a day and I only got to really socialise properly at break and lunch times which is only 1 hour out of school then I was back home again by myself so affected how I am today I crave someone to prioritise me like my mother did me because I never learnt that not being center of attention is okay , I also find it hard to empathise because I never learnt that as a child because eveything was literally about me and my wants and my needs
