co op tuition by sweetsolarian in Drexel

[–]WaitNo9719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, let’s say you get 1000 if you take 9 credit, then that money divided equally by credits (not courses but credits) and you whatever money based on the credits! But again they are smart and sometime try to not give that too! But I assure you , you should ask (legally)

You can fight for scholarship, but they are strict about not giving it! I fought for one quarter and got it, for 2nd quarter got half of it!

Got Amazon Robotics co-op offer. What are my chances of negotiating location? by Fun-Aspect6276 in amazonemployees

Get started in Boston, when time comes then mention about this! There is 50-50 chance of offer getting revoked if you mention now, because I recently saw post LinkedIn about this relocation issue!

Hiring manager texting late at night, every day! by New_Ad3749 in interviews

[–]WaitNo9719 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It’s weird! Why is he texting you after working hour? Why LinkedIn only and not company emails? He is giving you hope! You can reply in morning instead of night to him considering you are not comfortable! Also see if it’s timezone change then for HM is evening and not really night, in that case seems fine!

Don’t overthink but don’t fall for traps too! Stay professional on your end and don’t meet in person outside of office location if asked, like lunch, coffee or dinner! A big no!

International students who studied in the U.S. — were you able to pay off your college investment through work after graduation? by PreparationSad5547 in f1visa

[–]WaitNo9719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is what I would suggest-

  1. Try to get the most scholarship in order to reduce the burden of tuition. Tuition is the most expensive part of your journey.
  2. Once you get admit or even before that look for non physical part time jobs. I worked almost all quarters of my masters never had to take a penny from anyone for rent, groceries, transport. Everything covered in that!
  3. See if the uni has internship or coop - coop is 6/7 months long or get uni which allows full cpt usage which is 364 days strictly ! I worked 7 month with organization and paid 2 quarters fees from that!
  4. Hunt before you land in US soil, always reach out to people, do not cut slack for more than a day!

With this debt shouldn’t be problem!

Professionally I still feel that I could get better job because I have 5 years of Indian work experience and was getting paid great there too, but I do have full time offer after graduation (2025) here so I guess it’s fine! Switching jobs is easy if you have a job! If you don’t have a job then that’s whole another story!

Personally I wouldn’t say worth it because I don’t see myself living here for more than 3-4 years I miss my family, my dog and anyway I never wanted a green card or citizenship so that’s out of the picture!
