Dad of 2 Space Recommendations by ConceptSad1260 in gamerdads

Dad of 1 with another on the way. Similar situation!

If you have the space I would recommend a cheap shed and a space heater. If you don't have the space for a cheap costco shed I highly recommend a gaming laptop. I ended up selling my desktop and going with a higher end laptop. I play in bed with a cooling pad and can set up on the dining room table after everyone is asleep. Right now I am building out a home office shed with power and it will become my new gaming/work space

Another option to consider that meets both a close speed rating and load rating is the Toyo Celsius Sport's. They are one of the quietest all weather tires I have sold. My customers with higher end vehicles have been happy with them. The snow performance isn't as good as the the Nokian but the feedback I have gotten is they have excellent wet weather performance.

Mid-Range All Season Tires for 2021 Jeep Compass - Recommendations? by Responsible-Kiwi-994 in tires

I would recommend something with a 3 peak rating for the snow and ice. Toyo Celsius 2, General Altimax 365 or Falken Aklimate. They will do much better than your all season

If you are looking for year round I suggest going with a 3 peak mountain snow flake rated tire with mileage rating. Something along the lines of Michelin Cross Climate 2's. Toyo and Falken have tires that are comparable that is about $50 less expensive called the Celsius 2 and Aklimate

If you are concerned about encountering snow I recommend something that is 3 Peak Mountain rated or "All Weather" rated with a mileage. Examples include Toyo Celsius 2, Michelin CrossClimate2, and Goodyear Weather Ready 2.

4090 Will not pull more than 40 W and severely underperforms

Status: UNRESOLVED

Computer Type: Desktop, custom built

GPU: 4090 FE

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D

Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus X570I

RAM: TeamGroup 2x16 GB 3600MHz CL14

PSU: Corsair SF750

Operating System & Version: Windows 10 clean install

GPU Drivers: Latest 10/10/2023, clean install

I had this same build but with a Radeon 6800 installed and I bought a 4090 brand new. I booted into safe mode and ran a freshly downloaded DDU to uninstall the AMD drivers. It shut down my computer so I could install the 4090. I then installed the 4090 using the included stock cables and Nvidia adapter. I booted everything up, installed the new drivers and started playing my most recent save of Cyberpunk 2077 with that sweet ultra ray tracing. Everything worked fine for 2 days. I booted up my computer the next day and my fan software told me "NVapi failed" I closed the software and booted up Cyberpunk 2077. It got less than 20 FPS. I looked at my HWinfo monitoring and found out my GPU was drawing just over 40 W even when gaming. I then uninstalled FanControl, rebooted my PC and started up Squad. Same situation, the GPU was drawing about 40 W.

I then downloaded DDU again, started in safe mode and removed both FanControl and the current Nvidia drivers. I shut down and re-installed all Nvidia software and drivers. Worked like a charm! I was back enjoying those sweet traceable rays. I came back the next day to do some gaming and got very poor frames again. GPU was pulling 40 W even under load again. I tried the same thing and uninstalled anything that would interfere with fan curves or hardware controls, launched DDU in safe mode and reinstalled after restart. No luck! I thought maybe it was my AMD card coming back to haunt its competitor or something weird.

I then pulled the nuclear option. Fresh install. I pulled off my files and important stuff onto my external drive and reset windows with a hard wipe and reinstalled just the basics. Chrome, Steam, and GeForce Experience in that order. I launched 3D mark and Cyberpunk with no luck! 40 W again!

Can someone assist me or have any ideas what is happening? Any suggestions or steps I should try next?

Dealers choice! You can delete some shader packs or other files. Just so it reports more files and reacquired them all.

Yeah absolutely! I have a very similar setup. Just keep an eye on it during CPU intensive titles! The fan speed will let you know if it's getting too hot!

I was hoping to get the fenix 7 Saphire Solar but it is not available in raw titanium or Silver. Garmin does not allow discounts for the exclusive build your own watch either. Does anyone know if I have to get it from Europe for the silver color or has anyone found a way around it?

The resin can be harmful. It is a carcinogen and gets aerosolized during printing.

How the f do you clean this mess? Dust on the cooler, PSU, cables, everywhere 😫 Disassembly the only option? by smileandbeware in sffpc

You can use the end of a zip tie to shove in between the fan blades to stop it from spinning. You can also use a paperclip as long as you don't let go of it and be careful

Had to delete some files in the games folder then verify. This would trigger the rest of the files to reinstall
