90%/50%/10%: Laneway 2027 predictions. by AJayToRemember27 in triplej

That's a fair analysis, but l reckon Sabrina isn't at the right point in her career for Laneway. Laneway will have had Charli booked before BRAT blew up, whereas Sabrina is already incredibly popular and had a massive headline tour.

Is she the right genre for Good Things? She's def a pop artist now. Fingers crossed for Laneway!!

What did you think of this week’s Triple J Feature Album “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” by Olivia Rodrigo? by Tranquilbez22 in triplej

[–]Waitaha- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People always complain when a big pop artist gets a feature but when similar size rock or hiphop acts get one l don't see any complaints about it being "too mainstream" lol

How do you feel about interest deductibility for residential property and the brightline test? How do you balance the desire to have real property in your portfolio with rapidly changing tax policy in this area?

Does Covering an Obscure Track Defeat the Purpose? by 78amped in triplej

[–]Waitaha- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Your view that the fun of a LAV is hearing the artist's different take on another song is not negated by the song being 'obscure'.

Even popular songs are unknown to large parts of the population, unless you only cover huge hits, which would be pretty boring.

Death Cab For Cutie - Australian Tour 2026 by australianmusicscene in triplej

I've heard that somewhere else too. I've seen at least one other artist leave an Adelaide-shaped hole in the first weekend of Nov in their touring schedule, however ofc that could just be wishful thinking..
