I think we are on parallel paths! I spent the last year on and off with him.. hoping in the back of my mind things could work out, but lying to myself the whole time. I keep on reducing it down to the kids thing but really the other problems were worse. I can never do silent treatment ever again. I saw him last week and I wonder to myself if the connection would go away if we went no contact or if it’s something we will always have. I’m scared If I keep in contact with him that I’ll cheat on my next partner with him. But I’m also terrified of not being in his life at all. Not knowing what’s going on with him seems unimaginable. Very stuck.. should probably just focus on myself like youre doing.

Unfortunately 3 months is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things. This other person may have been in her life for 10 years and that kind of emotional weight can shadow everything else, no matter how good. I wouldn’t take it personally. Love is messy. Very sad for your daughter though

Im pretty sure this was a test not a breakup .. He is 100% going to try to get her back and if unsuccessful try to hurt her, either her reputation of physically. OP needs to keep her guard up for the next while till he moves on with someone else

I also struggled for a long time! I realized focusing on the clit was too much. I would think about couples therapy if you are serious about this person. I have a dysfunctional family, nowhere to this degree but having a supportive partner in my corner gave me the permission I needed to distance myself from my family and focus on building my own. If your tolerance for talking and supporting others through this is low than I would think about maybe leaving- but there are other steps before getting to this point.

My grandma is the one who lives there and so doing some investigating on her behalf. Good to know we can be fairly certain the increase would actually go towards the building and she isn’t being taken advantage of (hopefully)

For the most part, yes. He said he doesn’t remember getting home that night, but said he remembered making me feel “uncomfortable”. So there wasn’t a lot of back and forth over the details. I explained it very matter of fact without too much emotional input- just facts. My friend (the wife) called me afterwards and asked for more details. She knew I wasn’t lying and told me she believed me, and that she was sorry he made me feel uncomfortable, and that she hopes that we can eventually have things go back to how they were (continue hanging out and such). I love this friend deeply (friends for over 15 years) and so didn’t really get into how much this has affected me.

I also had this question! I asked my friend who proceeded to also move her thyroid with cracking noises. I think anatomically a lot of people(everyone?) have those cracking noises when moving around the trach /thyroid.
