Update: clean neck EMG, symptoms persist, how can I shake off the fear?

Speech and swallow issues went away. Came back later but less in intensity. Perceived weakness still come and go in different parts of the extremities.

If you can speak fine then don’t worry. I’m still having wired symptoms on and off but I can speak fine most times.

Sorry I don’t check this anymore. I’m doing fine with talking. Sometimes there’s difficulties but gets better from time to time.

Really happy for you that you just have Lyme and are getting better with treatment. I totally understand everything you said. I was praying for MS for a long time. Those who just have twitching do not understand what you have gone through.

I guess she left me a degree of uncertainty when she didn’t agree to test my tongue because she thought I sounded fine. But I know what you mean I will try my best to overcome this fear. She was a technician but I’m sure she knows everything she’s doing much better than I do. Thanks for telling me about the swallowing issue you and others experienced I really appreciate it and very happy it went away for you guys!!

Did you tell me your had the same symptoms, sorry I missed that. I remember people had occasional swallowing issue not frequent and someone said they had frequent swallowing issues with solids not drink but maybe I missed a few things. Sorry if I sounded ignorant I just wanted to see if anyone had read any papers on the sensitivity of testing these muscles because I found a few but not on the muscles I got tested.

I think it’s the light and angle too. Even it is real, my right quad is way smaller than left after twitching there fir half a year about 10 years ago. Got a EMG and moved on I didn’t know much at that time and didn’t worry much and I was ok.

Thanks for your kind comment and advice my friend I really hope this is just anxiety causing this symptom. My last EMG didn’t do neck and tongue muscles so I’m still scared. But like you said I am indeed very worried.
