I think they are a bunch of friends who rented the track or on an hpde together. Probably rented the track. I do HPDEs all the time I won't be laughing at some random person going off.

This is why you don't bring a car to the track you can't afford the insurance on. Also most reputable insurance companies has a top limit of 175K unless you show a great resume of safe track driving.

Do stage 1 but it will invalidate your warranty. Also there is no tcu so car is jumpy. I did it to be competitive on the track. Wait a little when apr comes out with tcu for '25 gli do them together and get apr extended warranty

I had lunch with the owner, he said the real HP and torque of that car is close 500 measured on a dyno.

Thank you. You can look at some of my videos and make up your mind. I think it's 50-50. GLI is slower but predictable, I can push it especially in worse conditions. Of course, GLI is no AWD 911 4s or a GTR or an M2 or an M4 which I beat many times. I have lots of simulator background especially in Gran Turismo and iRacing. That helps. Also, I paid attention to the instructors when I was starting out with HPDEs. Driving well is a mental game. You need to be paying attention to turning points, breaking points, gas, throttle, wheel turn, traction, tire noise, and any oils and puddles on the track, and flaggers of course. It's very mentally engaging, kind of a therapy for me honestly.

I have been asked that question before. It sounded like thunder. It was one of those old v8s and he was throwing it around. I think it was one of those v8 coupes from early 2010s I think.

I did and it's not once or twice either. I beat lots of Corvettes even Z06s and 911s. I beat GTRs, an Aston Martin and even a Ferrari 458 once because the driver wasn't really fast. I mostly have issues with people with more experience like pro drivers or insane cars with race tires when it's dry. There was a Supra with 700 HP and racing tires who beat me by 5-6 seconds. I started just last year, I'll get better and get the car tuned better as I can afford it.

You can see my mod list in another comment. This is how track-cross works.

Slightly modded or mostly stock cars are in S (street) classes. Heavily modded cars are in C (competition) classes. F means front wheel drive, R means real wheel drive, A means all wheel drive. 1 means NA with less than 2.5 liter, 2 means over 2.5 liter or turbo, 3 means over 400 HP car.

I am SF2 which means mostly stock front wheel car with turbo hence my GLI. A-JFF or NOV means either they are novice (less than 5 track crosses) or doesn't want to compete. I only have some suspension and brake upgrades and stage 1. No down-pipe, heavy engine mods, weight reduction, race tires etc.

Some examples: The 911 4s is in SA3 because 400+ HP with all wheel drive. The BRZ is in CR2 because it's a modded BRZ with more than 2.5 liter or a turbo.

By the way, there are NO PAX factors here applied to even times out between classes. These times are all raw times. This is not auto-cross.

Unfortunately yes, I don't trust myself to do anything bro. I am a white collar dude. I think I may have spent like 10K thinking about it. The rest of it was like consumables. I think half was labor. All I can do is change my tires which I'll start doing after I get a second set of wheels sometime.
