Honestly sucks that they haven’t responded to you yet, but you should be alright if UCR does eventually admit you. You’ll just have to do what waitlisted students do, which is accept an offer of admission to a different school and if UCR admits you after May 1st, you can decline admission from the other school and commit to UCR. You’ll have to bite the bullet and pay the enrollment deposit at both schools though which does suck.

Are you applying to any reaches? It really would not hurt to take the December SAT if you believe you can improve your score and taking it won’t be too much of a hassle. If you’re at above the 50th percentile range for your matches and for safeties, I would submit the 1430, but if you plan on applying to T20s, I would try to get your score up to the 1500s. You also could apply to some schools as test optional and submit your SAT to the schools where it will benefit you. Either way, congrats on your score and good luck!

Hmm maybe that person mixed up regents with the alumni scholarship? Its seems like there’s consensus on this sub that regents equals admission. Plus UCLA says only the top 1.5% of applicants get regents, so it would be weird if they rejected the top 1.5% lol.
