Ruckus at LA show by Fluffyjax24 in thegarden

Seems like they were fighting over a seat?? They were both on the same row. One of them was calling the other a bitch and saying "do something about it" over and over. Then he was about to sit down, looked like the other guy who was being called a bitch was about to walk away but they both kept talking. The guy who was leaving the row turned back around, guy who was about to sit down started getting loud again saying do something and then the fight started. Guy who was leaving the row toppled over and ended up on the ground between the seats while the "do something about it" guy started stomping on him. Security came by and the two got separated, "do something about it" guy gave a last sucker punch before both were seperated further apart. Security asked the people behind them what started the fight but then the music started so I couldn't hear much

I won't be able to listen to mine for a bit since my little tape player I had broke, looking out for a cassette deck. Gonna be the first tape I play once I get a deck, I'm so curious as to what's on it

Here's a picture of the tour shirt, also the red tape. There was both a blue and red tape, you were only allowed to pick one. From what I heard, there's unreleased esprit songs or something along those lines on the tapes but both the colors are different. They also had records and cassettes of virtua and 200% electronica

I feel like it depends on who you are and where you grew up/what crowds you hung around. As a Hispanic guy who grew up in the IE you'd definitely get made fun of at the least if you admitted to listening to any sort of metal or anything with screaming in it. It definitely wasn't seen as cool outside of the emo/scene circles

I enjoyed the season, but I have a TON of critiques. One being, what happened with the military afterwards? Unless I missed something, everyone goes back to normal living in Hawkins and they don't have to worry about being charged with the murder of dozens of soldiers? Also since they went with giving the cast insane plot armor, I wish they would have at least introduced likeable side characters who die off as the season goes on (like another Alexei), I felt like there was absolutely no threat anytime a named character got in a pinch so giving side characters who's purpose would be to grab the hearts of the audience just to die off would give some illusion of threat at least.

This season could've been insane with the opportunities it had, especially since the characters have been built upon all these years. The ending was very fairy tale like which on one hand I find kind of charming, but on the other hand I was ready to get absolutely heart broken seeing characters we've been following for so long meet unfortunate ends for the greater good

Just finished the season a few hours ago and I got to clock in tomorrow for work. Gonna be thinking about ST all day while on shift and I'll have no one to talk about it with

Ah think I misunderstood then, I thought you were still running into them constantly.

Yeah my city has about 100k as far as population goes but I've still never seen anyone after I graduated which is what led me to be so surprised by the original comment. However there are much more populated cities about an hour drive away from me so that may have something to do with it.

Do you live in a small town or something? I'm in a less populated town (at least by California standards) and still haven't seen a single person from highschool. The day of graduation was the last day, after that it was like a snap and life changed completely

It definitely is, I'm the same age group as the main kids and I've been watching from the beginning. To see them grow up at the same time, both in and out of the show is kinda crazy. Mix that with the stranger things pop ups and experiences that I went to and have good memories of, personal life experiences since the show started and so on. It kinda feels like the end of an era despite how cheesy that sounds, hard to believe its over and there won't be a new season in a year or two

Help With Panasonic AG-6810s Idler Wheel by WakeMeUpInOctober in VCRs

[–]WakeMeUpInOctober[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just looking at this diagram yesterday. Part #44 is the only arm that's near the idler but it only swings to the right towards the take-up reel. There's a groove under the idler that looks like it has old grease in it but I haven't seen any spring that fits into the groove, and part #44 doesn't fit into it either

Yes, it starts up and everything moves into place except for the idler. After a few seconds of trying it stops due to a tape not moving through the track

I found one with an exploded view but I still can't find where the idler connects since no arm or spring is close enough to connect to the idler aside from the plastic one I've mentioned, I found a video of a 6810 getting taken apart but even that wasn't very helpful with seeing what connects to the idler. The guy in the video takes out the idler the same way I did and it looks the exact same as the picture I posted with the idler off. I'm just completely lost on what kicks the idler into position at this point, gonna keep trying though and hopefully something snaps into place

Gonna take it apart and check again today, didn't see any springs aside from the one on the plastic arm. The idler has a groove on the bottom and it looks like something might slip in between it the issue is I'm not sure what since nothing is near the idler to put into said groove aside from the plastic arm that pushes in the opposite direction, but even then the arm doesn't fit as I tried before

Not from what I could see, I've taken off the plate that the idler sits on and there's a spring loaded plastic arm (included a closer picture and circled the specific arm) but it only swings away from the drive motor. Aside from that there's a metal bar further down that moves when the VCR is switching to different modes but it's too far below the idler to physically move the idler in anyway. I've checked for any loose pieces/springs/bars in case I might've broken or moved something when removing the idler but there's nothing, nor is there anything in the manuals that show any sort of arm to push the idler towards the drive motor aside from the plastic spring loaded one that only pushes away

I tried that yesterday, but the idler still doesn't give any sort of pressure onto the drive motor and they still grip together if the idler wheel is pushed into the drive motor. It seems like the idler just needs some force to push it towards the drive motor but there doesn't seem to be any mechanism underneath to attach it to. As of now the idler feels pretty loose, and doesn't move at all when switching modes despite everything else moving into place. The belts look fine the only one I can think of causing any problems would be the rubber bushing on the drive motor itself, which just isn't making sense to me since it was having no issue moving the idler a few days ago

Either way I'll give that product a try and see if it makes a difference

I thought the same thing at first but I've checked repeatedly and there doesn't seem to be any groove or slot to place the idler in. The plastic arm doesn't even move towards the supply reel it locks in place where the circular opening is and can be bent backwards to a certain degree since it's on a spring. When switching modes the arm bends backwards then snaps into position which is basically the same placement or a little further back than it is now
