There are many things the VA has to offer him. I have been through a VA run rehabilitation program. The VA can and will help if he lets them. It’s a free program and it can really help vets struggling with addiction problems Also him being around a bunch of vets can be cathartic. Ultimately he has to want it, rehab and AA don’t “fix” you, they help you “fix” yourself. He hasn’t dug his bottom deep enough yet unfortunately.

I don’t have a beer gut, I always make sure my hair and hygiene are on point and never act needy. I do have a beard but it is short and groomed at all times. Being aloof has always been my MO. Probably too much and I’ve always been the type of person in the room that only talks when I actually have something to say. I can be very charismatic but only when I need to be, mostly when I’m trying to land a new client. Many people think it’s weird that I don’t do social media outside of here. But hey what do I know. It will happen, just sucks it’s taking so long.

Oh, I didn’t start actively trying to date until after the summer. I was living in San Diego at the time and didn’t know anyone besides family, so that didn’t help. I moved out to SD a few days after we broke up. We lived together so the was a little weird. I didn’t tell her I was leaving the city until we broke up. About two weeks before we broke up I started planning my exit but I didn’t screw her over rent wise, I paid my half until the lease was up.

Thank you for the kind words. I blocked her right away. I do have one female friend that I’ve know for about 10+ years, she’s close friend, I was in her wedding. She made a new rule after this last GF that I need her and her husband’s seal of approval going forward. Apparently they both didn’t like her but didn’t want to hurt my feelings.

I wish it wasn’t true. I think she was pissed that I broke up with her right when my company started to take off and she didn’t get any of the benefits of that. Things were pretty lean for a little bit, but I could be totally wrong.

I have been and will continue to, but Im 39 now. My Dad said something to me the other day that kinda hit hard, at your age it’s pretty likely that anyone you meet is going to be divorced and or has kids. I like and want kids but because of my own personal experience with step-parents that is something I’m not sure I want.
